  1. Beli, no need to apologise about Morrowind-it's still the high point of TES for a very large segment of the community, myself included. I hope they take a step towards Morrowind in terms of quest structure, writing, and worldbuilding. Spellmaking-while it could be horribly abused-needs to come back as well. It allowed mages to be creative.
Id like there to be limited settlement building a la Fallout 4, but it shouldn't be a central focus. I wanted to strangle Preston Garvey after awhile, which is a shame as he was a genuinely nice guy.
I heard that Bethesda admitted that the voiced protagonist was a mistake and that will not be returning, thank God.
Bring back the writing from Morrowind, the sidequests from Oblivion, and the modern graphics from Skyrim.
Make the player EARN it, like in Morrowind. 30 minutes into Skyrim, you're dragon Jesus and a thane of Whiterun Hold. 30 minutes into Fallout 4 and you're given a full set of power armor. Stop doing that, Todd! Make us work for it.

  2. Two weapons that should definitely be in Elder Scrolls VI are spears and quarterstaffs. In Skyrim you see even farmers carrying a sword which is historically incorrect. Swords were expensive and even warriors may not have been able to afford one. And someone trained in the use of the spear could best a swordsman. Add in a shield to protect against other spearmen or archers and they become quite formidable.
The best a farmer could hope for would be a quarterstaff. Assuming that person had some form of training it was possible to defend yourself against attack, as with the spear. Again even against a swordsman.

And you cannot improve bows, especially by hitting it with a hammer. If you want a powerful bow you make it from the start. So let the bowyer take your order and make you a bow. Assuming they can work on it right away it would take about two to three weeks.

  3. Absolutely, spears should return. I remember them being my favorite weapons in Morrowind 🙂. Don't know about other things, I never really finished Skyrim or Morrowind 😂 but it was really interesting to hear your ideas for the next game 😁 keep it up Beli!
