My Thoughts On Patch 12.11 & The State Of Escape From Tarkov…

After the Escape From Tarkov podcast on Pestily’s channel yesterday it got me thinking about the 12.11 patch and about the game as a whole. Check out the new video with some of my thoughts on Tarkov and how it is developing. These are just my opinions and I am in no way trying to speak for the whole community. 1. Anyone who thinks that everything that everyone is complaining about isn't an issue when it comes to any other game developer, or hell, even any software company, is just plain ignorant. Speaking as a software engineer

  2. I stopped playing the wipe after a little more than 2 months and that is because the game was not hard enough. When you slowly get more knowledge of the game and when you find out how to zoom through quests and level up fast the game becomes "easy". Making the hideout harder to upgrade was a step in the right direction especially since the devs want the end game to take longer to reach so people don't ask for wipes after the fourth month.

  3. I've got bored of the game.. but with a decent update I'll come back and set a new goal to grind out for a bit.

I was going to aim for epsilon container but as soon as I got a Bitcoin farm with 10gpu I got bored.

  4. All correct, but there is no excuse in charging full price for a game or even double the average cost and still gave development this slow. This game keeps getting more and more popular. BSG has the money to get enough of a development team to make and meet deadlines.

  5. I really think they should incorporate an official hardcore mode , which removes the most trades and the fleamarket. As a reward one can gain permanent cosmetic rewards which can only be earned in hardcore mode. They should also think about adding some kind of painjob system , where you can receive different pattern blueprints while having the paint itself only be found in raid.
In the end i trust that BSG will find a way to keep players interested , the game indeed is still in alpha.

  6. That whole graphical design of the streets is sstolen from bf3 and so dated its unreal. Everything they ude is just stolen and pre made garbage from the unity engine

  7. I think we should be grateful we’re getting small content drops while BSG is working on the bigger picture. Games are not easy to make and Tarkov has made it really far. I think the game is really fun right now and a lot of new players are picking up the game because of this.

  8. I’m no expert but I’ve played a few wipes now and as far as I can tell there seems to be more and more desync and server performance loss as a wipe goes on…. maybe more and more entities globally over time? Thoughts?

  9. How about we make it so that there are 2 kinds of servers.. server 1 is tarkov that wipes 1 time per YEAR, so people can do their quests and play the game normaly. And server 2 is a wipe cycle of 3 months (just like games like rust)

  10. With what you said about "playing the game like it's a game", would you say that people who play the game as a career are breaking/ruining the game? Especially when it comes to casual players who maybe play 4 or 5 hours a week

  11. Companies that outsource product testing (for an expensive price) should understand how they are different from companies who do not practice this sort of pre-release money making. Two ways with different expectations

  12. All the people that are whinning need to remember this game is in beta. Your testing an incomplete game. Jesse is right, take a break, play something else. Or you could suck like me and the tasks take forever

  13. To the topic of wipe? Ypue forget that the econmice is fuckt with the bitcoine shit show, like nades ever player has 3 to 5 nades and is just spaming than.

To 1.0 this game is 3 to 4 year away to a finsh game. And they will need to keeo up the hype.
