  1. In my 130 pulls i got the WGS and Homa but only 1 le thicc spear and 3 le thicc blade. And pretty much r5 the widsith, sac bow and lion's roar. I'm convinced even the 4 stars don't share the same rate up percentages.

  2. thank you so much for your input. i really wanted to pull for the other 4 stars as they are all quite good. personally the lithic weapons dont appeal to me since i dont want to be funneled into just using liyue characters esp when other regions start popping up

  3. Hi Krush, I usually watch your vids and find them very educational but I think you should've actually crunched the numbers before making a public opinion regarding the Lithic weapons. I quickly made a graph because I thought I might've missed something when you suggest R4 and 3 Liyue character composition, here's a graph with R1 Lithic Spear against a bunch of R5 weapons https://i.imgur.com/zKCzw4n.png

  4. I think these weapons seem more like interesting novelties than anything that would be considered best in slot for anyone. Which isn't necessarily bad, it's just a matter of expectations. They're definitely a bit strange, and having them be event exclusive is disappointing. It's also disappointing not to get more well-rounded new four star weapons added to the game in a manner more accessible to budget or free players. Good weapons can be so hard to come by on a budget in this game.

That said, I happened to get them to a pretty high refinement chasing that damned Staff of Homa (last time I ever roll on a weapon banner after that nightmare), and I'm excited to build a team around the Lithic weapons, even if it's just for a lark. I think it's cool to have weapons that encourage new and interesting team compositions like this in the game. I just wish they were more readily accessible to people, because these are weapons that I think mostly only whales are going to be able to obtain at a high enough refinement to use, or even obtain them at all, but whales are likely to have so many other five star weapon choices that it makes the Lithic weapons kind of irrelevant to them. Who's going to bust apart their whole team composition just to make a Lithic Spear work when they just got a Staff of Homa that blows it out of the water?

Well, maybe me, because making an oddball team work sounds kind of fun to me, but you get my point.

  5. I definitely thing a big weakness of these weapons is also that they're going to just constantly become worse as more characters are released alongside new regions. What happens when Inazuma has a new character on the level of Bennet or Fischl? What happens when we finally get more spear and claymore characters but they're never going to be from Liyue again? It's just going to make these weapons less likely to ever see use.

IMO this also means these are going to be REALLY awkward weapons to rerun in the future. They're interesting and definitely have a lot of potential now at high refinements but a rerun in 6 months or a year is going to be a lot less exciting when we have new characters from new regions and these weapons are largely worthless for them. They'll basically become garbage pulls on whatever weapon banner they show up on. This is honestly probably why they aren't being added to the standard pool of weapons and as weird as that feels to me I think it's probably the right call.

  6. Alternative perspective, and one which certainly doesn't invalidate Krush's stance: For players who don't min-max or who build teams they love rather than teams for optimization, this provides a nice opportunity to raise the power of a team built of Liyue characters. It might not 9-star the abyss, but that's not everyone's goal, and it's nice to eke a little more power out of favorites. For an optimizer, lithic weapons add restrictions. For "Liyue characters are cool, I'll play them," it's a little boost to make such a team less punishing. Edit: Today I learned that correcting typos will remove the little heart from a liked comment. <_<

  7. These weapons are currently good items, but bad investments. There are at least 5 regions upcoming, and very few of the new characters in the foreseeable future will be from Liyue. Over time, there will be fewer and fewer Liyue characters in everyone's teams.

  8. I'd say the real hangup is we currently have 29 available characters, with about 4 more coming sometime in the future for Liyue and one more for Mondstadt before Inazuma characters start (Hu Tao, Yunjin, Yaoyao, Baizhu and Rosaria), giving us a split of 16 Mondstadt characters and 17 Liyue characters (16 if you don't count Tartaglia), and the possibility for a couple more Mond/Liyue characters to be dripfed in the future. But we're probably going to get about 16 characters per future region, too, so what we currently have is about 2/7 of the total roster, and there's a high chance of most good characters being in the remaining 5/7.

Actually my bad, I forgot Shenli was leaked for Liyue. That's still just one more Liyue character, though, and I get the feeling she's going to be a kinda crappy 4* (like Rosaria), so not contributing to the characters you even might use long-term.

Of course, I refuse to touch Bennett and only have C1 Fischl and no Mona, so I mostly use Liyue characters anyway. I'm also speaking purely hypothetically because I'm not rolling on the weapon banner, lol. Standard banner has been very good about giving me 5* weapons, I'll stick to that.

  9. I think this video was missing an overall good stat comparison with the alternative choices, esp. since our 4* choices for spears are limited. Like how good is a 3 person party vs 4 person party vs the alternatives.

  10. I don't understand why 4* anything should be exclusive. I get why 5* are because they're the truly wanted item on any banner but I 4* items should just be added to the standard banner following the event wish that they were released on is removed. Getting a 5* is great but unless you're a whale realistically your teams will be using 4* so they should be the varied and readily available items on the standard banner.

  11. Literally the only team that benefits from this is XL+XQ+Chongyun
If anything this just puts emphasis that we have much more better Mondstat units which…ouch

  12. That these 4 star weapons are limited is valid because they would make no sence later on when we get the other regions and their specific characters. Those 4 star weapons will have no use at all after some point ingame. Putting them in the regular banner would be a scam as f**k…!

  14. I have R2 Lithic spear, hoping to get R3 at least. if I can get Hu tao too on 50/50. Oh boi, its perfect. Lithic blade is the best since its has 41% attack at lvl 90. dude, that is nearly a 5* stats, not too mention the extra attack% you get from passive and depends on Refine and stack. Oh boi, its too good.

Its good for now. Since its limited to liyue only. its good for those with Liyue team build.

  15. I disagree that r4 is needed, looking the passive isn't as substantial as you make it out to me, the difference in damage is barely noticeable given it's attack percent i've been testing it a lot myself. Crit rate is the only notable change with refinements but that can be made up through better artifacts.

  16. People need to keep in mind more Liyue characters can appear in the future. Also, the Spear has HIGH Base Atk, which is very useful for any ATK% artifact stat (highest in any 4-Star?). And finally, as long as you have 4 Liyue characters in your party (and it is very easy to make a good team right now), you can have an R1 and still have a great weapon.

It is sad that these are exclusive, because I would like them to start growing the Permanent Banner in the weapon department as well (not only 4-Star characters).. but there is no reason to not try and get one of each at least IF you are interested in any of the 5-Star Weapons as well. Eventually, even F2Ps should be rolling for better weapons.. why not start to build pity now?
