Nadeshot on 100T Valorant Disappointment at LCQ

Nadeshot took to his Twitch stream just hours after 100 Thieves was eliminated from the NA LCQ to address the frustration and disappointment with his Valorant team in 2021.

Nadeshot was clearly devastated by 100 Thieves suffering back to back losses to get knocked out of the Valorant LCQ and lose their chance at Champions after making winners finals. Nadeshot revealed that not only was he disappointed and the 100 Thieves fans were angry, but the Valorant team itself was upset with each other and their staff.

This comes on the heels of 100 Thieves benching their IGL Steel before their last chance to make Valorant worlds, which is a move that Nadeshot said he was not a part of making. Nadeshot got called out for a lack of transparency on the stream over the Steel move, and he said it was a no win situation that sucked, because either he hurt a pros career by airing dirty laundry, or he kept it private and people accused him of covering things up.

So the 100 Thieves team is upset at each other after failing to make Valorant Champions and 100 Thieves fans angry, is Nadeshot about to blow up this roster and rebuild, or will he stay the course and hope for a better 2022 season? With teams eliminated from Valorant Champions already making big roster moves, we should find out in just days.

  1. I mean they did bench Steel right before the LCQ, that was a big blow to them but they did it for a reason. I'm a fan of 100T valorant but I wasn't expecting them to win the LCQ, benching their IGL is like hitting the reset button, there were sparks on how well they look like with Nitr0 as thei IGL, there are times where they looked adaptable, the lack of adaptability is one of the problems I see in them with Steel. Their season's is now over, hopefully they come back stronger next year.

  2. Ya so if you remove a player for poor performance that is what it is. But if you remove a player for not getting a long with the team you deserve the flak. The more we try and let feelings get in the way of your profession the less success you’ll have.

  3. I don’t get the logic people use sometimes when they blame boi , check the stats he didn’t even do too bad , secondly he is a controller his job ain’t getting kills it’s setting up his teamsters and thirdly he is new the synergy isn’t gonna be there like , a team loses and everyone is looking for someone to blame , TSM dropped bang so fast even they went farther with him than when he wasn’t there , everyone wants results but no one wants to lose like u can’t always win sometimes u need a loss to spur you to become better as team

  4. Just my opinion, yes they maybe had issues with steel we will never know that, but when you have one last chance to make champs i dont think changing players 2-3 weeks before the most important qualy of the year is a good idea. Just seems like a desperate move. Again just my opinion.

  5. 90% of these people who are criticizing team changes have never played any game at a competitive level. Even as the college esport level roster changes could be the difference between making it in an export tournament.

  6. Unpopular Opinion: Competitive, 'toxic', Gamers are better at the game because of it. You can remove them because of the worry that their perceived toxicity and lack of cohesion with the team, however you run the risk of removing a core part of team-play.

Nade didn't have to go into extreme detail, would have been nice to hear him say something like "we took a vote and 4/5 people on the team wanted him benched because they were scared the team would fail". Okay we now know it failed, but at least there won't be just general skeptical hate about everything about the team. I wouldn't consider assigning responsibility as airing out dirty laundry. I consider it holding people accountable for their actions. If those actions are toxic and shouldn't be talked about, well then you shouldn't have done them in the first place. Learn from it and move on, shits not complicated.

  7. There probably isn't a huge giant drama or story. Maybe they just don't think he meshes well with the current roster. Steel isn't the person they have change in their roster and he won't be the last.

  8. 100thieves didn’t even play bad with Steel and with Boi.

All the matches were close but on their wins they weren’t dominant but there wins weren’t always super one sided. Not sure if it’s a play style change or what not but definitely nothing to be short of they played well always next year. Just need time to play more together

  9. trial and error are what team need to do in order to improve but not before the LCQ like maybe make nitr0 IGL and keep steel on the sentinel and if they didnt make it to champion, THEN you bench steel cuz i feel like b0i wasnt prepared

  10. I predicted they weren’t going to make it out, but they exceeded my expectation of making it as far as they did. Nitro either didn’t have enough good practice time with Jett or his skill cap on that agent isn’t high enough to hang with the top tier duelists playing currently. I really wish that Asuna Jett was going to be better since he would have a lot more time practicing since he started playing her in tournaments, but maybe he is also skill capped on her. Hiko was doing decent I think, same as Ethan except Ethan maybe underperformed a little bit on some maps. Boi I criticize the least because he has not competed in many months, he did the best he could do in the circumstances given in my opinion.

  11. 100 thieves should pick up an rank jett demon like JAWGEMO. Anyone who watches any pro player streams will know how crack he is. 100t game plans and strategies aren’t even bad they just need a reliable fragger and opper

  12. Am I the only one who thinks 100T should grab SINATRA despite his past!! I mean Sinatra + (100T – boi) would be fucking great, No shade to boi, I think he is great but I believe he choked man!! he choked and I think Sinatra and Asuna can really play duelist stuff… and then hiko with a controller, they would be invincible..
