Resident Evil Village[a] is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It is the tenth main installment in the Resident Evil series and a narrative sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017). The game follows Ethan Winters, who, after a fateful encounter with Chris Redfield, finds himself in a village filled with mutant creatures in an effort to find his kidnapped daughter. While Village maintains the series’ mainstay survival horror elements, the game adopts a more action-oriented gameplay compared to its predecessor. In this video Dreamcastguy does a deep spoiler free review of Resident Evil 8 also called RE8 on the PS5 and looks at the gameplay, story, characters and cool upgrades of this new horror masterpiece. Resident Evil Village also includes an online multiplayer mode, Resident Evil RE:Verse. The game was announced at the PlayStation 5 reveal event in June 2020 and was released on May 7, 2021, for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia. Like Resident Evil 7 (2017), Resident Evil Village uses a first-person perspective. It is set in an explorable Romanian village. The inventory management system is similar to that of Resident Evil 4 (2005), featuring a briefcase. Players can buy weapons and items from a merchant, the Duke. The players can also hunt certain animals in the village and have them cooked into dishes by the Duke, eating said dishes allows the player to get advantages such as decreasing the damage taken while blocking.
Resident Evil Village includes a six-player online multiplayer game, Resident Evil RE:Verse.
The Mercenaries Mode also returns in Village. Like previous Resident Evil entries it is an arcade-style game mode.

  1. Spoilers for people who haven't played the game yet

Pretty upset that momma lust never got more time in the game just overall. Plus with the fairy tale thing we're pretty much a Knight killing the dragon to save the princess trapped in the castle

  2. The idea of this game is great but I don’t think it is as good as RE2 remake. Also Todd Soley gives hope to all voiceover actors because he is not believable to me at all. Everyone else sounds pretty good but Ethan sounds like he is reading a script no feeling. They need a better voice actor for Ethan

  3. Re7 was to scary says the producer, what a joke. We must have been playing different game. That comment explains the direction they took this game more action more action. Bring back the old Re game

  4. I’m scared to get excited for the game knowing for a fact that you give positive or negative reviews based on if the check cleared. How can I know if it’s actually good? Please tell me if the check cleared so I can know if to trust you or not on this particular review.

  5. Great review. This would prolly be lame but I wish reviewers never showed anything past the couple hours of the game so new enemy types, bosses , etc remain a surprise. Just imo

  6. My first completion time was 11 hours but I went out of my way to explore everything but much longer than 7 which was nice and the constant switch up of variety was great! This game went pretty much how I expected and then some! Easily a 9.5/10 I loved it that much!

  7. Loved this game but the puzzles were way to easy I never got stumped once . I also recommend hardcore difficulty as standard felt like an easy mode

  8. Nothing is scary in this game except for “yummy”. If you die to what I’m referencing then you know what I’m talking about

  9. I'm confused on the whole mysticism part. No part of this game had anything to do with magic. It's all RE science mumbo jumbo like it always is. Perhaps you missed a few viewables or something.

  10. I used to love resi evil games. This looks great but for £70 or $70 depending where you are I'd expect better than bat wings disappearing through wall etc like is seen in the video. And have to admit I'm way too impatient or stupid to solve some of the puzzles. I mean at times I'm holding a shotgun but need an amulate or key to open a door lol

  11. Games great, love it so far… but there's some gamey things that can really break immersion and some of the punishment Ethan takes and basically shrugs off (regardless of the healing liquid) is ridiculous.
