Necromunda: Hired Gun takes you on a deep dive in new Gameplay Overview Trailer

Necromunda: Hired Gun, the fast-paced FPS by the small, passionate team at Streum On Studio, hits PC and consoles on June 1st. Welcome to the gritty, violent hive city of Necromunda, a place where anything goes – for the right price. As a bounty hunter in this utopia of violence, get ready to use the many tools in your deadly arsenal to see through each contract. Watch today’s new Gameplay Overview Trailer for a deep dive into Hired Gun’s various zones, weapons and perks, cyber-augmented Mastiff included!

Pick your contracts, hunt your targets, reap the rewards

Introduce yourself at Martyr’s End, the hub of all the action, contracts, and factions in your little corner of Necromunda. Select your contract, prepare your loadout and track down your target across one of the several dark and twisted areas of the Hive. Nothing comes easy in Hired Gun, fighting and even trailing targets will put the best bounty hunters to the test. Use your grappling hook and wall running abilities to close in on your prey across rotting agri-farms, industrious chemlabs and ancient strongholds. Then, assisted by your loyal Mastiff, unleash a ballet of destruction to complete your contract in style before returning to Martyr’s End for a celebratory drink and a round of upgrading your weapons and armor.

Upgrade and augment your arsenal to take on the Hive’s toughest contracts

From a signature power knife to rocket launchers and graviton gun, everything can be useful to make a living within the ever-growing conflict between factions in the Hive. After each action-intensive mission, take the time to exchange loot and rewards for cyber-augments to yourself, your arsenal and your dog. Grow in power and soon enough, become your target’s unstoppable worst nightmare.

The indie fast-paced FPS arrives June 1st, 2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-order Necromunda: Hired Gun now and get the Hunter’s Bounty Pack to bring the Underhive to hell in style with a unique knife, stub cannon, and outfit skin, as well as a new look for your mastiff’s toy. Physical copies for consoles will release June 30th.

  1. There are already 6 things that potentially suck/aren't really canon in 40K (from what I know after reading over 20K pages of books) 1 thats possible and 1 I Iike:
    1. The trailer looks like Doom Guy accidently switched to 40K.
    2. Wall running in 40K/the drop in the beginning? Come on how would a normal bounty hunter be able to do that?
    3. 1on1 against an Ogryn? Good luck on that one when even Marines could have problems XD
    4. Gravity weapons? Hope you never meet a tech priest.
    5. Orkish meks…luckily you're a NORMAL human being that is TOTALLY capable of smashing one of those.
    6. Of course you get a grappling hook -.-
    7. Everywhere are crates with weapons…wait that might acutally be possible.
    8. Mastiff is cool

  2. looks like its going to be procedurally generated levels to keep hunting new 'targets'. i'd prefer a solid, bespoke campaign. BUT, if the gameplay is as fun and fast as they want us to believe it is, the system might work. IF…..this is a big if…..IF this is like titanfall 2 gameplay, with replayability, this could be incredibly good.

im not ready to be dismissive yet, im still hopeful. but i AM going to be watching those reviews with my fingers crossed. and you guys should know how warhammer games go by now. GW lets a small team make a game with a tiny budget, but if it gains a_little_ traction, the devs get to make a sequel that improves in every way. Dawn of War. Battlefleet Gothic. Vermintide (that's getting TWO sequels). Total Warhammer. i wouldnt be surprised to hear news of a sequel to Mechanicus soon.

  3. looks interesting and all, but phrase "indie shooter" gets me confused… this game has official publisher and games workshop license, so what is the definition of "indie" in the current context?

  4. The game looks lit, but why is nobody talking about that god awful User Interface? This must be the ugliest interface in a bigger profile game I have seen in years.

  5. Im excited for this game, kinda dissapointed you guys didnt continue to add more gangs to Underhive wars though. I actually really enjoyed that game and was hoping to see the delaque, genestealer cults or Corpse grinder Gangs added to it.
