Chaos Gate is an interesting look into the past as it was made when 40k was still in 2nd Edition, before the major changes in 3rd Edition. Now its 9th Edition.
The trick with melee is this, you surround a unit with 2 or 3 marines, make sure everyone has melee equipped, you drag select all them and order them to attack, all your units will attack and IF the enemy survives they will get a counter
