NERF Ganyu in Genshin Impact?! Those are the comments I’ve been reading lately on the Reddit forums and a few Discord posts here and there, but my question to you is why the heck would anybody want Ganyu to get nerfed in a PvE game?! She does an immense amount of damage and that’s a problem? How!?

people crying cuz they're afraid of powercreep. but i agree, they should be crying for other underperforming characters to get buffed instead. beside, from what i know nerfing a unit after release is illegal.

Imagine asking for nerfs in a PVE game where your main goal most of the time is grinding…wouldnt you want busted characters to run through that quicker lool, People are weird.
Fortunately, I have nothing against Ganyu nor think she needs a nerf cause she’s creative enough to justify her damage output.
If I were to complain about too high damage output, it’d be if that’s all the character can do AND the character is used by the community to shame the creative aspect of the gameplay such as dissing my favourite character with it’s unique mechanic.
Every character is good and the community should encourage others to be happy whatever hero everyone pull. NOT diss the heroes they think it’s trash thus discourage others to enjoy the heroes they pull.

So many people spent money on her nerfing characters is the worst thing to do. Buffing them is the only thing that should matter nerfing is the dumbest thing ever and anyone who thinks nerfing characters is a good is a retarded

1st was the butthurt diluc mains when childe released
Then came the zhongli issue
Then they laughed at albedo and guess what, he was pretty balanced
Then they followed kektone with his "Ganyu is a support" and called her cryo amber and complaining she should have been a catalyst user
Now that she was released, people cried on how much she deal damage and made some salty xiao fans that doubted her (I feel sorry to the real xiao fans that was made look bad)
Ganyu doesn't need nerf
Clearly the people who want a Ganyu nerf are just jealous because they don’t have Ganyu, and they just want her to be nerfed cuz they would think she would be less desirable.
There's a thing called "balance", you might have heard of it. Game being PvE doesn't mean it shouldn't have a proper balance, especially if the game is about building right team synergies for different situations. Ganyu is simply too strong for how much power she gives, she doesn't even need great gear and doesn't require any skill to use. This makes using lots of other characters extremely suboptimal compared to just running Ganyu.
While the impact of such imbalance is obviously less important in a PvE game, it's still an issue. Making new charcters stronger and stronger will result in a massive powercreep over time and eventually will make most of 4* characters and standard 5* useless. That's why some people comlain, they want Mihoyo to release an adequate level 5* characters, not as underwhelming as weird butchered Zhongli and not as insanely powerful as Ganyu or Venti. Since it's a gacha game, they can't simply tweak the numbers after the release, so they should be way more careful with initial balance.
Tbh Ganyu is not gonna the best dps throughout the later game. Knowing how mihoyo works in Honkai Impact, they might release a new character that does more damage than her in the future. I mean isn’t that how Mihoyo makes their money
At this point, a lot of these people are just outright stupid. If anything, they should buff the others especially Amber.
Im guessing she's only getting a Nerf if around 70% ppl mains her. My only experience is that Nerf on Bramma weapon in warframe. But yeah those ppl dumb 😆

If a ganyu joins my game, instant kick, some people like to PLAY the game, and watching a ganyu 1 tap everybody is not fun in coop, she's fucking busted beyond comparison, and she's practically gonna be needed for abyss for fatui shields because they'll update abyss to revolve around punishing players who couldn't get her, she's literally the first step into this games death for non whales

This video is stupid and whiney. Zhongli and geo characters are getting buffed so character changes do indeed happen. These changes are needed to keep character relevant. The reason why Ganyu needs a nerf is because her 2nd charged attack deals too much damage for no reason, there’s no point in using other characters when you can just use Ganyu. Ganyu is outshining other characters in terms of usage.
Right now it’s “use Ganyu” or you aren’t dealing the highest damage possible in game. Other game busting characters will appear later anyway so I’m not heated. Keep simping Ganyu because she probably carries your dps anyway.

TBH ganyu is just a good character, a very good one that can fit in almost any role like DPS or Support. She is no where near as broken as the likes of Venti. That muffer is a legit 6* with his crazy CC ability. Hell even the discounted version of venti that is sucrose is pretty broken as a support and she is just a 4*. There are plenty of champs that are as broken as her if not more and that’s just the way the game is designed. Asking to nerf a perfectly good character is just asking to be called stupid.
Exactly my thoughts pretty much, whether people like it or not she doesn’t make other characters like..pointless to use, they tend to have the wrong idea of the concept of powercreep, long live our gorgeous Cocobae ^^
