NES & Super NES – February 2021 Game Updates – Nintendo Switch Online

On February 17, four more games will be added to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System™ – Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo Entertainment System™ – Nintendo Switch Online collections.

Super NES™
DOOMSDAY WARRIOR – It’s the Doomsday Warrior versus the Doom Squad! This action game features an evil sorcerer who has recruited seven warriors to take over Earth. But one of the Doom Squad has resisted the influence and now stands against the rest as the Doomsday Warrior!
Psycho Dream – When Sayaka doesn’t return to reality after entering an immersive virtual world known as a D-Movie, the protagonists, Ryo and Maria, must progress through a terrifying fantasy game called Legend of the Fallen Capital to rescue her and bring her back to reality.
Prehistorik Man – Sam the caveman’s quest to save his village begins! Sam lives in a village whose food is stolen by dinosaurs. To get more, Sam must collect bones, which he can then use to buy food. On his way, he’ll need to make use of a variety of weapons, vehicles and attacks, including shouting, to attack all on-screen foes. Can Sam reach the dinosaur graveyard and collect enough bones?

NES
Fire ’n Ice – As Dana, you have been chosen by the Queen of the Winter Fairies to bear the power of ice magic. With it, you must defend your home, Coolmint Island, from the wicked wizard Druidle and his flames!

  1. I'm convinced that it actually takes more effort for them to find these obscure games no one asks for, then to actually give the remaining titles people are actually requesting…

  2. I get that not every added NES/SNES title will be a recognizable classic, and that some obscure games (maybe Psycho Dream) might actually be better than expected.

But ain't no one with any amount of Nintendo Nostalgia asking for DOOMSDAY WARRIOR over that-one-series-which-keeps-getting-passed-over.

  3. EARTHBOUND, CHRONO TRIGGER, EDEN, KILLER INSTINCT, THE FIREFIGHTERS, THE LOST VIKINGS, TERRANIGMA, PHANTASY STAR, MEGAMAN AND BASS and on and on

Oh and release MOTHER 3 in English to buy.

  4. Not to be rude but why isn’t no one talking about Mario paint it would work so well on the switch with touch screen and it still hasn’t made it

I’ll just put it on the list along with earthbound, super Mario RPG and Mother

  5. To those who are still waiting for Super Mario RPG and Earthbound, they're also available on the SNES Classic and Wii U / New 3DS Virtual Console for the time being. Psycho Dream is worth checking out since it was planned to get localized, but it got cancelled the next. Almost 3 decades later, it's finally getting localized for the first time ever.

  6. As a wise man once said:
A school is like an NES:
-You’ve got the good guys/ your friends (good games)

-You’ve got the ok or oh yeah I forgot about these kids (decent games)

    And then…
-You’ve got the weird/ mean kids (bad NES games)

  7. If I’m pissed about anything it’s the fact that Japan got SMT 2. I can deal with no decent games, but when the other countries actually get good games, that’s where I get annoyed.

  8. Regarding Earthbound and Mario RPG, because a lot of you guys want them to be on the service, me too of course that would be a dream come true, but do you really believe Nintendo would give away for "free" two of the best SNES JRPG, with Earthbound being 30+ hours to finish? I mean I can see them selling the game for 10-20 bucks but a game with a "legendary" status like Earthbound (it's also not a first party game) obviously gonna top the charts if they're selling it. So don't get your hopes up about it being on the online service but expect it to be on the store in the future, though you can already play in in the 3ds
