What is the best rune in league of legends? First Strike or how I like to call it, Last Straw but not the way you think. First Strike is a bad early game rune and only gets better with items so put it on a scaling high damage mage like lux and you will be full build in no time.

I tried this rune on Karthus bot lane
it's pretty decent in lane since your Q outranges a lot of characters
but it's kinda hard to use this rune as a money making tool cuz your ult CD is too long
so I think characters like Lux can utilize it way better cuz her ult CD is so short
seems like this rune is more for characters that can use a big poke ability everytime the rune is off CD so maybe characters like Zoe would be pretty good with it? I don't play Zoe so idk if she can do her sleep into Q combo during the duration of the buff but if she can then it could be huge for her
xerath, jhin, ezreal, etc. Any pokey champ
I feel like it’d be decent on Senna since her attacks are instant lasers, she has a global ult, and her passive gives her bonus attack range making it easier and easier to be the first one to attack in the mid game where this runes seems to make the most money. And if you see a team fight across the map? Bam, big chunk of gold.
yes khartus with first strike and axiom arc , get 150-300gold per ult at 11+ plus whatever assist or kills you get , it feels amazing , i tried it twice and both time i had the most damage done on my team, even with axiom , its not troll if it works :')

Nice vid, but it shows the issue with the rune perfectly. The moment in the vid Rave says it has payed for a full item, he was full build and had more gold left over than the rune had made. It didn't affect the game.
This rune is actually worthless. You will have tons on gold from it… but after u are full build or near it. Since u lack other runes that could deal more dmg u are missing tons of windows for killing potential. Instead u end up with rune that is borderline usseles in early game, nah in mid game and again usseles in late game since u are already full build.
Rav had 2257 gold from this rune, was already full build with +1180 gold (he sold one of his items before it slowering the end goal) so it means that he earned his full build with +1 077 advantage. It might looks like it's a lot but truth is he could have even more gold after killing someone with comet multiple times (or any other dmg focused rune).
The only good usage of this rune is to oneshot someone who died soo many times that he is not giving much gold anyway… but since there is that guy in enemy team… welp game is probably gg anyway unless ur teammates likes to make games a bit harder than they should be.
EDIT: The only good usage I can think of is going for Xerath or Lux support with this rune, so u can earn even more gold with poking to death 😛

Maybe Singed would work but the poison needs to hit everyone and it probably wouldn't do THAT much dmg, also there are better runes for singed like Predator
But VEIGAR on the other hand might just do the trick
Seems potentially good for assassins if they can figure out what to do with the inspiration tree, I did get popped by an AP Ezreal who was running this rune. The ez even had liandry's for less burst than luden's.
I mean. Wasnt the most broken Best rune was klepto? But this suits these kind of champs better. But this doesnt give you mana potion wich I am deeply dissapointed of. Good video and I hope to see the karthus one next!

im playing kata with this rune u can get 1k plus gold if u fuilly ult 3 to four ppl with 2 to 3 items
I use it on blue kayn with sorc boots
So, this rune literally turns every mage or ranged burst into a Vayne.
Maybe this rune would be good on ranged mage supports, like Vel'koz or Zyra? After all, the support items already encourage you to poke, already.

Took this rune on support Xeraph, got Ludens on first back because I just didn't need to leave lane. If I didn't have this rune I would be roughly 400 gold behind from buying ludens.
