Traveller is must have for this mode, I haven't lost any so far nor any enemies manage to cross the portal
I mainly focus on protecting the end portal and killing enemies when they first come out. I have some other things in between but I mainly do the damage myself.
I use Jean, Mona, Ganyu. With Mona and Ganyu i do permafroze and with Jean throw the enemy. you dont need any more.
Just use geo trav they will stop moving
use geo MC and zhongli ( if you have) , you can literally block enemy from passing.
A few things to note: buying the 5th tower thing makes enemies that die within the area of it give more points to spend on building towers. I usually start with one of those and two water towers then use my characters to knock the enemies back into the zone for extra points.
Second, the fearless effects give you nothing During the game. It gives you extra sigils, not points. Sigils are used to upgrade your towers outside of the match. If you're confident in your defense it can be a great choice. Also, the more you do in one match the more the bonus can stack.
In my limited experience, having characters that can deal with elemental And Geo shields is vital. I have some 5 stars that help but make sure that you actively watch for enemies that have elemental shields as your towers on their own can struggle. Staggering big enemies is a HUGE help for your towers as well. Knockback is often better than knock-up because you can better control the enemy position.
Don't worry too much about letting a few go through for completing the challenges. I got my first no-enemies-past on difficulty 3 and you get all the challenges below. It's disappointing when a fast guy gets past or you can't stop someone huge, but usually not a big deal.
Finally, get the level 3 and 5 tower upgrades you think will make the biggest impact. Getting fire and electric to 3 and ice to 5 make a massive boost to their effectiveness. Keep in mind the range and damage of towers. Fire towers can be put further back from your kill-box and still prove effective and I've found a single fire tower (lvl 3 especially) a bit closer to the enemy rift can kill groups of weak enemies and still fire Backwards into your kill-box of water death if it's a tougher enemy.
i tried and experimented and found out that zhongli debuff (elemental res decrease )also work on the enemy and also zhongli charged e can break the shield of the geo slime (pls notice this comment) and tq for the quick updates on genshin everyday

Man, you can farm the lanterns easily. Just max all the traps and it will be a peace of cake.
Dismantling isn't a problem. I always finish the run with 1500 extra points.. and sometimes you really need to transfer traps to a different lane.

Re-selling is bad for value, but it is a valid option once you've gotten a lot of points from recovery towers to sell them back and build more defense for the later waves.
early game, build one recovery tower per path and keep most of your defense within range, let towers accumulate points then once you've gotten more than you ill need, sell the recovery back and build more defense.
Also Sigils ARE the upgrade currency you get AFTER the run.
Traveller, and jean are the best characters for this event 😂 u can besically throw the enemies back
Despite a very wholesome and humble guide it quite painfully to see the absence of recovery towers to aid in the conservation of resources unless it is in pursuit of a personal challenge.

I use pyro and electro towers. and if they're fast I use Keqing charged attack to throw them off the edge 😛

I’ve been trying different strats and putting a hydro and electro turret outside the portal, plus a MP generator works wonders for the first two waves. Then an Anemo one in the middle and a cryo nearby to spam Barbara’s basic attack is amazing, it lets the two pyro turrets in the back nuke everything in peace.
I just knock them out of the map XD ,i get that idea when playing co-op with random person

Klee is really good for stopping small and sometimes large enemies (especially if you use electro for overload) as well as breaking shields, but for the massive enemies multiple freezes seems necessary, my towers could never do enough damage to kill them without it.
idk how anyone could possibly mess up this mini game lol. The mechanics are so straight forward its dumb easy

Jean is good for knock backs and hold several of them in place to take damage
i get the fearless "double the enemies hp" ,pick it, and guess what, i leak all of them from that stage XD. i think if the fearless is just spawn 1 very hard enemies it still easier that a buff for whole enemies 🙂

If you want an easy way out of the level 4 , triple attack
Genshin Impact events are usually really good. This tower defense is the worst so far. If I want to play tower defense I'd play Dota. WTF is this? We pull and build 5-star characters but they're useless in this game mode. What can your Diluc with Wolf's Gravestone do here? Nothing. What can your Xiao with Primoridial Jade do here? Nothing.

ive been having good games with water/ice/fire towers
6:50 actually they do serve a purpose, if you look down it lets you get a top down view, ied recamend doing this at least ones (or just look up the pictures online) so you can map out the best places to build your towers.
most people aren't used to a third person TD (luckly i played quite a lot of orcs must die so i got quite used to it)
This is really bad advice, you shouldve played at least ten times before making a tips video
And then there's me spamming freeze with chongyung and barbara along with hydro and cyro towers because I do indeed have the patience.
All you need is water, ice, and fire. Water first, ice middle and fire last. You can either play with an Ice character(Ganyu is best) or Water(Mona or Barbara).
Better advice would be to combo hydro pillars with electro. Hydro in the middle of the path, electro nearby. Always works as a round 1-2 defense
Pyro towers in back lines works really great, and they don't miss so long as enemies are walking straight towards them. Cryo is only worth when upgraded to lvl5+.
The newer physical damage pillar is pretty good from back lines too.
You never need to build right in front of the enemy spawn portal.
Making mistakes is fine, it's only 1 xiao Lantern per attempt. They're easy af to make.
