  1. Did you forget the pregame 6" move or just choose to stay in cover? I think the best use of that trait is to deploy a bit more aggressively and then if you get 2nd move to hide. Also at 18:20 you missed Hardwired for Destruction to reroll attack rolls of 1. Dude and your Skorpekh Lord allows them to reroll 1s to wound as well.

  2. Shooting gallery terrain setup with scant few places to hide. Particularly egregious is having both player's main objectives out in the open! Remember you can move terrain after missions are declared in 9th.

Also 1:03:16: a roll of 6 damage within half range on a melta is 8 damage, that is 16 damage reduced to 14, which is a dead dreadnought. You reduced the damage twice!

  3. Thanks for the fun BR! I enjoyed it and appreciate your work. Nice!!

A DW player myself I can only give feedback to the deathwatch player. Few things:
    1) don't take the first turn when you don't need it. When your opponent starts you can make better use of your bikes as a counter attack
    2) each unit has its strengths and weaknesses. Use the strengths (e. g. speed of bikes) and avoid the weaknesses (e. g. overcharging hellblasters without a captain nearby). Otherwise take other units (e. g. Terminators instead of bikes)
    3) overthink your list. When you play against an elite army choose units that can deal with them better and use them according to their purpose (see 2)). Sad to not have seen any deepstriking unit in the list, too. You have so many options here to control the field better (concealment, death from above, strategic reserve, deepstriking strategem, beacon angelis, teleport homer…)
    4) overthink your deployment. Your right flank was abused badly because you had nothing potent there. At the same time your 2 Dreadnoughts were stuck in the middle and never made it into close combat
    5) make better use of your CPs. As a DW player you have access to sooo many great strategems and combinations

If you consider a few things here Space Marines are so much more fun to play and not "boring" at all. Especially with DW you have all options in the world. Try to use them. The game was actually not close at all because you repeatetly fought the opposing forced with the wrong units while the Necron Player utilitized his well. Its just that he needed 5 rounds to get the overhand

But please take it as a constructive critique to step up your game. And in the end its that: a game. And as long as you had fun everything is cool. I had a lot of fun watching. So thanks again!
