it's offical, the comic book industry has ran out of ideas
as cool as the star wars and marvel battle pass collab was, i don’t think i can handle another. i just want the next season to be regular fortnite. no collabs, no partnerships, no ads, none of it. i want it to be like every other fortnite battle pass, unique skins related to the storyline, awesome emotes and pickaxes, all of that. dc themed battlepass/season it really just pushing it. bringing all the marvel characters, plus the mandalorian, through the zero point was just weird. it made sense, with the zero point having access to multiple realities and shit, but bringing dc into the mix is just beating a dead horse. plus, we already have a lot of dc related skins with harley quinn, joker, catwoman, etc etc, and we had almost zero marvel stuff. so having a battlepass that threw in a lot of marvel made sense. but we don’t need more dc stuff. and being biased with growing up with marvel, dc would just be disappointing. i’ll still buy the battle pass, since i’ll still want to collect stuff, but i honestly doubt i’ll ever use any of the dc stuff, unless it happens to be REALLY good. and again, dc already had a big impact on fortnite way back in season x, with the batman bundle, catwoman in the shop, and then the zero point affecting neo tilted to turn it into gotham city. and on top of that, there were the free challenges for the glider, spray, etc.
and then we got the joker bundle with, well, joker, and also poison ivy. at that point, we’ve had more than enough dc representatives, and with the new rebirth and batman skin, we’ll have even more. which is cool, don’t get me wrong, but i feel like it’s too.. much. same goes for marvel. grouping both the battlepass and all the item shop bundles within the last few months, along with the black widow and star lord skins, marvel has gotten a LOT of representation in fortnite. and as much as i likes marvel, it’s also way too much. and ever since all these collabs, they’re bringing in a whole lot more, which is awesome. i just hope we don’t get a whole ‘nother season dedicated to a specific series.
So all the comics will release in April?
