  1. Emotions really do need work. My sim was sad for two days because two sims died, but they were sims he'd chatted with at a bar once! They were acquaintances! Both his parents died, and he was sad for about two hours. It makes no sense. I'm so glad they're going to do more blogs and interviews. They promised transparency, and I'm glad they're actually trying to provide it.

  2. I agree with what you said about all sims reacting the same way towards thunderstorms. They managed to randomise whether or not they like fruitcake so surely that can apply to other things.

  3. The emotion system is definitely weird. Like I'm not a storm chaser personally, but I love a good thunderstorm. A lot of people do! And it makes me so annoyed that my sims get to tense all the time, even when they're inside. I do wish they could overhaul the traits and allow us to get more traits and be more specific about what we're afraid of, what we love, and how that would actually impact the emotion system instead of it being like everyone gets the same exact fears and wants, etc. Even if it was random, like how some sims are left-handed and some sims like fruitcake, it would be so cool for some sims to be afraid of thunderstorms, some sims are afraid of spiders, some sims have claustrophobia.
And the haunted lot trait is definitely limited. Ghosts just sometimes show up and break some appliances. The haunted house lot type seems like it is going to have flickering lights, weird vines growing everywhere, clay hands appearing randomly, doors slamming shut at night, and other little things like that. And you'll have the ability to communicate with the ghosts in your house and appease them or have them get made and MAYBE wreck things? The haunted house lot type seems really cool, definitely much better than the lot trait from City Living.

  4. Hey Simmer Erin, I've dealt with paralyzing anxiety since I was eight. However, I've gotten a lot better through my faith. May God release you from anxiety, worry, doubt and fear in the precious name of Jesus. I pray your mind is clear and peace be brought to you immediately. Be free sister in Jesus name, Amen.

  5. Two days ago while I was building, I noticed that the streetlights are different now. It used to just glow but not theres a cone-shaped lighting effect. I knew it had something to do with the new pack!

  6. So my question is, does the new interactions with ghosts only or mostly involve just those pokemon looking creatures in the trailer? Or will there be new interactions with the ghosts of Sims also? As another YouTuber pointed out, the pokemon ghosts seem to be a huge component in this pack. Kinda bummed if that’s the case.

  7. So glad they are having game changers building lots. The EA lots leave loads to be desired and are sometimes even baffling.

I'm really interested in this pack. I love spooky things and this will really enhance that it seems without being intrusive to realistic gameplay.

  8. As a console player I'm both excited and hurriedly attempting to finish my 100 baby challenge (because I'm worried new update will break things worse. I've so wanted new occult stuff, more variety, i know Bonehelda is a minor thing but to add vibrant differences in households has always been my passion in Sims… But i also am nervous to experience the next generation of bugs….I will say I've noticed a difference in the last couple weeks, glitches seem to be less often. so maybe the console movement IS helping a little.

  10. Thalassophobia will now get the scared trait then… Awesome… I don't even know why some of my Sims have this phobia. Just pops up… And sometimes the ocean isn't even close to their freaking lot! Which sucks. Even so, I am looking forward to this update. And I do hope more glitches get fixed.

  11. JTB never got a livestream because the sims team knew it was gonna be controversial. Realm of Magic and StrangerVille got a livestream. In fact, JTB was a huge fail that gurus that rarely say anything on Twitter, never said anything. Sometimes the rare gurus will post or rt the trailer but it didn’t really happened for JTB

  12. I'm sitting here in weather that doesn't know if it wants to be sunny or give freezing rain…and finally feeling good about a Sims release. This one actually looks fun and better thought out.

  13. I didn’t know that all sims got scared of storms
I have a sim and her wife that I play the most and the pink haired sim is scared of storms and the wife is not, is that maybe just a bug the wife sim has because she doesn’t have storm chaser trait, if anyone knows if it’s a bug or something please let me know

  14. I guess the sims Team doesn't create a wonderful lot because, in the end, they are game developers so taking the time to build houses is not really their thing and maybe they want us to be more involved in the building process and personalize it our way

  15. Ok, I haven't watched the livestream yet, but yeah! I agree! I don't want my sims to be scared all the time (although I do like what I'm hearing). And I don't think sims should be scared of thunderstorms unless they are: 1. A cat, 2. A dog, 3. Under the teen age, or 4. Has the "childish" or "paranoid" personality traits.
