New Let's Play Baldur's Gate 3 – Early Access (Part 12)

Hi all. Brothermutant here. Here is my new run of BG3: Early Access using Magus Dann, my soon-to-be Eldritch Knight. Join me as we discover what this future title has to offer, be they bugs, crashes or good times for all. For those that noticed, this is a restart as the first few videos were exceedingly loud, and I didn’t want that to diminish what this great game has to offer.

  1. Yes the maps are kind of a mess, particularly when you are in sub-zones. They will often show markers for the main map that aren't actually in the area where you are. And you can't add your own markers to the map yet . . . this was possible in Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2 so I'm sure they will add it and improve the maps in general.

  2. I really found its more fun to NOT save scum and re-do checks. Their are NO critical fail states that I'm aware of in this game and having to adapt to adversity is fun. For example in this case since your character isn't charismatic he really shouldn't be trying to influence people's actions (or at least expect it to work out). Failing the persuasion would only cause a fight with these two characters, it doesn't agro the entire camp. And you don't have to kill them . . . there is the knock out option. On the other hand if stay out of things the the Tiefling kills the goblin, then you can use speak with dead to communicate with the corpse and find out everything you need to know.
