In my opinion if you have a jungler that has more than 2 brain cells and ganks in midlane Bard would be a great idea for a mid champ, his passive allows him to roam really quickly while getting stronger, he has a stun, he can set up heals for himself or for his jungler if he gets low, and his E gives him and his team even more mobility, and his ult can be really good at setting up ganks, disenganging, and even protect the tower from the herald attacks (wich midlane is the most common place where it is placed)
