Well this is certainly some concerning news to those of us who care about the console market. I hope this is a problem that is solved sooner rather than later and it's at least good to know that this issue will be solved once Sony and Microsoft are able to properly saturate the market. They aren’t suffering. This video was a whole sheep video and y’all got clicked baited.
It will effecting it long term because the first life cycle of a product is it most lucrative and song and Microsoft are missing the most lucrative cycle . After the first cycle it cruise control. So there missing that head start.
It’s not threatening anything. It’s preventing people picking up games right now.
Once Christmas is done, all these consoles will drop in price, and will filter to normal people when they’re not willing to pay double the price for spoilt kids.
That is why a lot of places have the limit 1 per customer rules. It prevents one person from monopolizing a particular product. Stores will often times have loss leaders to attract people to buy other ancillary items. Sony and MS did not do a good enough job vetting retailers who resold their consoles. They assumed these retailers knew what they were doing, that is the failure of Sony and MS management.
Their only option now is to oversaturate the market. It will cost them billions and I am sure they were not expecting to do that so soon. Also they are constrained by AMDs yields on their chips and competing for supply for other industries such as telsa among others. IMO it will be a long time before you will be able to buy a PS5 at retail. Plan on waiting at least 6 months.
I'm not buying another game until I can get my hands on a PS5.
See, scaling is not in Sony’s benefit. Rather, it is in the retailer’s benefit it is in their own interest to keep demand up. That way they get both your money and scalper money. However, Sony is the one losing out, because they aren’t getting game purchases nor getting ps+ subscriptions same thing goes for Xbox.
I'm sure they'll survive. We should be supporting our local businesses!

Ps5 and xbsx should announce news of 2021 ps5 pro or Xbsx pro release and sell for same price, even if they didn't really have a plan of it, just faking the announcement.

For me and alot of my friends there is a sense of, even you are interested in getting a ps5 you probably wont manage, they are very much unavailable at Sonys price, and I think that understanding will last longer than the ps5s actually becoming be available which I think is the case with alot of people.
Make a rule that consoles can’t be resold online for the first 3 months etc.
All this crap will stop as soon as Christmas is over good luck trying to sell them for ridiculous prices then.
Soon people are gonna just get a pc instead since scalpers are selling them for $800-$1000. This is gonna be bad for Sony and Microsoft if the don’t crack down hard

Just about every major store has some type of APP. How don’t they just sell them in store or 1 per registered APP?🤔🤔🤔
Simple email signups would eliminate the not problem. You must go into a store and give your email. When a console is available for you, then you have 24 hours to pay for it. Or they are going to start selling big bundles with 3 games, 2 controllers and a media remote for $800 to make sure they get the software profits
