Taguig is actually in Manila, well metro manila, basically NCR.

so whey you say "Manila" it means 2 things, it either means the city of Manila or the region of Manila, which for us is locals is more commonly called "Metro Manila" (which is usually just called "Manila" to those who don't live here) it's kinda like "New York city, New York" where you have the city of New York and the state of New York. Taguig city is 1 of 16 cities inside Metro Manila. Maybe this can clear up the confusion.
