Update: that’s true, this is a major problem in the apex community, lots of people when they’re high rank like Diamond, Master or Predator have high ego and 0 humility, they forget where they came from, personally I’m Master and I don’t have the ego to play for end game and force my teammates to do what I want, I love playing with my team and try to be a Good leader, if I see someone doing something dumb I ask him to play on me or leave the game cuz I’m not gonna take that bad decision, I want healthy games and good communication, not sweaty games and toxic communication

Yeah Ranked really needs something, a revamp that is more accurate to skill representation and that will benefit both casuals and hardcore/pros.
Demotion should be a real thing. If you can't handle a Rank's entry cost, then you don't belong in said Rank.

Every single ranked game so this split has been a glorified pub match . 0 thought process going on in a competitive setting , pretty pathetic to be honest
The Apex game as a whole right now Is overall frustrating. You can't ever really depend on randoms so rank is impossible and pubs is just pure annoyance. Just about every match I get a fucking idiot OR TWO for teammates. And to top it off constant server lag or getting kicked. This season I rank up and down between plat 3 and 4 3 times already, before the split and haven't even tried to get on since. My goal was to reach diamond but the game is just at a point of being almost unplayable or unenjoyable even if it's not ranked.

I've been said, ranking up should only give you points when you GET KILLS, not assists, or placement.
SO if your just camping and getting carried, only your teammates get points cause they actually contributed.

I’ll say this..the problem with the deranking/point decay idea is that it favors the pro community super heavily.. I dont get to play apex all day like these guys do.. I have a job, and I life that exist beyond playing apex. It’s not a knock to them, glad they can do it… I just can’t. I’m a good apex player.. actually probably better even than your above average player. It I can’t play all day, everyday but when do I play I’m quite effective. Under that new system basically if your not a streamer/pro player than you have absolutely no reason to play because if you miss a day or two because idk life.. well you go back down to diamond or plat. I don’t think that’s even close to fair as people who hit those ranks still had to put in tons of time in and and massive effort. It’s not like hitting those ranks is a walk in the park.
To me the real problem with ranked is the monotony of ranked. As someone who has played since day 1 of apex and now into season 10/11 here it just feels repetitive… I think it should be more of a fluid system/maybe even challenged bases where there different ways ranking can happen. It will provide variety and extreme challenge so it feels worth it when you hit a top rank. They can also break it up by tier system, each rank tier sorta has it own dynamics on how to rank out of it and up to the next rank. Just some thoughts.
If they add a de ranking system for not playing people who have jobs and don’t have that much time to play will eventually not find the time to play apex anymore and will eventually lead to many apex players to stop playing the game ranked is competitive in all categories you have diamond trails and pred trails throughout silver and gold you are just more skilled then the actual silver and gold players that are there and that’s why you rank up quicker…what needs to be changed is the system in ranking how am I going to get 5 kills early in a plat lobby die within the top 15 and still only get 18 points or whatever it’s a very small amount lmao 5 kills should have a bonus system to it especially with assist y’all are looking at it the wrong way the system need to be rejuvenated not made more difficult to rank up there needs to be a better ranking system which is both rewarding and bad if you fall off early there’s no way you should have max kills and still get nowhere in the ranking system I run into a lot of teammates who drop hit and die who run off by themselves and die if I get 5 kills solo I should be rewarded no matter my damn placement

Some people will just stop playing ranked when they get masters or diamond, but making sure that players of the same caliber play with eachother should always be a no brainer.
The core with ranked is it being Rigged by the system, that why you loose a shit load of games

I literally get Diamond, masters, or pred pub stompers every 3 games or so. I guess people only give a fuck when they’re the ones getting killed early and not the casuals
