  1. Well, welcome to the new year! What a hellscape we made it through in 2020 huh? But we are here, and as such I am thrilled to bring back a giveaway that was originally planned when we hit 50,000 subscribers, but got pushed back to 2021 since YouTube thought all my viewers were bots for a couple months. Don't know what I am talking about? That's fine, it's water under the bridge and absolutely was not your, or for that matter our, fault. But as promised, we would spin up the giveaway again this month! This time around, I will announce the winner(s) during a live stream at the end of the month.

  3. It's 2021. I hope Nintendo gives us some hype for us Nintendo fans. New title releases. I'm excited for the Zelda 35th Anniversary and hope SS, TP, annnnnnndddddd WW. Happy 2021 guys!!!!

  16. I really don't think the typical "it's always happened in the past." counts anymore. Even without the current health state of the world, I don't think Nintendo is interested in continuing Directs often if at all. There has been the occasional thing but I do remember reading something a while back about how the current president of Nintendo is looking to cut Directs out of their image. Of course, I can't quote or source this right off the top of my head but I wouldn't be surprised if it was going to start tapering off regardless of how this year went, and I think it might have been seen as an opportunity. It's not difficult to edit videos and such from home and of course, Nintendo is Nintendo so they try to keep everything possible in-house and not let it step outside their buildings, which is reasonably fair.

    IF Directs are fading away I will miss them because they gave Nintendo something no other company had and that was the feeling of a personality behind the company. I think they'll start seeing a lot poorer publicity without them, especially when it comes to copyright issues because the Directs were something that helped alleviate the tension between consumer and corporate company at the end of the day, whether people realized and acknowledged it or not. Sure, it wouldn't have worked on everyone but I do firmly believe it did on many, even if only at the moments during a Direct.

  20. Happy New Year everyone! It's a new year and I am hoping for some really good new release announcements soon. Until then I will keep tackling my backlog which has increased massively after all of the holiday deals.

  22. Hopefully we get a really substantial Direct year that highlights some promising but also interesting games..yet I would love an update on the games they talked a while ago and hey why not as usual a surprise to close the show 😉👍

  28. Obviously a rumour as of yet, but the latest on the Switch Pro comes from a Bloomberg source… does that make it a little bit more legit…? We know Nintendo is known for denying rumours left, right, and centre all the time even if things ARE in development!
