What does gone gold mean for mass effect?
I'm looking at those unlock codes for Timesplitters 2 and I just think how did things get so complicated… Then I realized it's just pushing directions and buttons together with shoulder buttons.
Seriously, why couldn't they just come up with something simple like the Konami code or even "down Y down down Y" which actually tries to spell out Diddy's name with the controller? Guess I'm just complaining now cuz now I'm remembering Ulitmate MK3 unlock codes and those were nightmares!

About the old IP topic tho, nintendo is actually working on releasing Famicom Detective Club to the west for the very first time, which was their own old IP way back NES-SNES era and it was a japan only game until now.
I think this is one of the moves you've mentioned that they will be revisiting old franchises and then revitalize them for the newer audiences. They're really trying to avoid too much mario-zelda, though I wouldn't mind it lol

When it comes to Nintendo, most people don't want a brand new spin on a forgotten franchise. They want another game in that franchise as they remember but bigger and better. Because everyone has wanted another Starfox 64 and we haven't gotten that yet, just a bunch of Starfox-ish games with large sections that many people don't like.
Imo the switch runs most games smoothly especially games designed for the hardware limits mario odyssey is a stable 1080p 60fps doom eternal which was meant for xbox one x doesn't run as good but many people will sacrifice performance just to be able to play doom on a bus or park bench or a plane. Me personally I wouldn't play switch portable much since I don't really go places so doom eternal docked vs xbox one x obvious choice.
