Nioh and Nioh 2 are fantastic action RPGs, and a wonderful take on the FromSoft Souls template, that actually do many things better than the pioneering Dark Souls series. 1. Just 8? Your review is half-assed. This game deserves 9.5 or above. To be fair, I hated Nioh so much and almost destroyed the disc when I first played it. But after a few days of play, this is the best action game ever created as far as combat system is concern.

  2. Wait so you're telling me that Mr. Xbox doesn't like the new haptic feedback feature that by FACT actually helps to immerse all players further into the experience !? Yeah no surprise there.. lol.. Black ops cold war's implementation was near perfection and that was coming from a 3rd party man, no opinions necessary from me. There's a reason why the vast majority Cling to the innovation.

  3. Best games ever. I put hundreds of hours in both of them. On PC and PS4, and now Nioh 2 on pc again. Sadly there are some performance issues on pc, I got drops under 30 FPS and some regions are in slow motion….which…makes it a lot easier lol. But it sucks. Never had that problems on PS4 Pro.

  4. Only this guy can understand what I have been through when every YouTuber was shouting about haptics and I felt so leftover that I thought my controller was defective ah huh not that big a deal.

  5. Completely agree on haptics in the dual sense. Totally overhyped. It was cool at first on something like astros playroom, but the novelty faded into the background very quickly. Hardly the transformative experience most gaming media makes it out to be.

  6. You guys didn’t even play the game … look at the footage, that is only 1st mission from both games , lazy review, nioh 2 is literally a better version of nioh 2 in every single way, I know you guys not comparing both games but you guys mentioned that nioh 2 is the same as nioh

  7. Nioh 1 and Especially Nioh 2 is one of the best RPG experiences you can have. 100s of hours await you in this game, please don't skip this series. It is way more than a souls clone.

  8. The best part of Nioh for me was when you start mastering Ki Pulse. Then as you improve you learn how to switch stances mid combat and flow like water. Enough like souls to be awesome, but different enough to forge a separate identity. The combat and raw amount of content in both games is amazing.

When I think of reasons why PS4 was the best format this game comes to mind. It's definitely on the list with Bloodborne, God Of War, and Horizon Zero Dawn. It's cool the PC Elitists got to enjoy this title as well.

  9. Two of my favourite games of all time but they still looks visually awful even in 4k, shadows popping around everywhere. Remastered?! It's just a 4k upgrade really and tbh it feels a bit like putting silk knickers on a pig

  10. "put out by a team who hadn't put out a well received game in a while". What are they talking about? Dead or Alive 5 was their previous game and it was excellent. Reviewers definitely don't understand fighting games, and action games a little better, since they are single player.

  11. "To be fair, they always looked stunning" Nioh 1 looked awful, and still does. Nioh 2 is also a far, far better game in every way and isn't anywhere near as repetitive as 1 was. Nioh 1 had awful end game content, which was just grinding the same boring missions, Nioh 2 just gives you loads of side content without the repetitive end game crap.
Get them on Steam, plays a lot better than the PS5 version by a long shot.

  12. You don't like the haptic of the dualsense.. You are definitely in the minority there, and if you're self aware of that maybe you shouldn't judge them to begin with.

  13. Don’t think most are buying PS5s for the haptics just like no one bought PS4s for the touchpad. It’s just an additional feature but I would hardly call it a generation defining one.

  14. So it's a glorified cash grab as both games actually play on PlayStation 5 anyway and the 4k isn't as exactly what we would assume a true 4k experience. I'll keep to 5he vanilla version's thank you though the heads up .

  15. Nioh deserves praise but "the games look stunning now, tbh they always looked stunning" just isn't true… Horizon looks stunning, God of War looks stunning, Battlefield looks stunning… this looks okay

  16. Over a minute loading screens in the original? Did you even play them? Nioh loads lightning fast on the PS4's PoS HDD. Consider playing games before you review them rather than just regurgitating marketing blurbs.

  17. Idk about this game but honestly the haptics have been under hyped. In spider man and COD I find I makes the game so much more enjoyable, even demon souls it’s nice to have the clang and atmosphere the controller adds, by far the best controller ever made.
