Yess this is just broken indeed. I am a old karthus main and since the new rune came out ive been collecting atleast around 2.5K gold from just the rune for mainly casting ult. But on the other hand it can be countered by buying zhonya etc, or playing champs with a spellshield (im looking at you nocturne). Luckly not everyone in low elo knows to counter his gold income. So in some cases, Press ult win LP!!!

i wonder how many first time karthus players will get executed in jungle xd
just a heads up, your mileage will vary. karthus gets so much gold because the enemies havent built mr and hes incredibly fed both through kills and farm. a medium skill karthus will be lucky to pull about 70% of his farm, and its not like its reliable that you get that many kills. he got a kill every ult, when you use them the allies might get the kills, the ult might not kill, you probably wont have a pyke to share gold for the missed kills, and if your teams bad enough you may be waiting 5 minutes between ults just to find a viable time to use it. also the first strike does nothing for you if youre engaged on first, nor does it affect an ult that happens at the end of a fight that you were part of, in other words hed be making far less gold if his team actually needed him to win fights.
basically this rune makes karthus way more snowbally than he used to be, and if you dont get the momentum you might make less than half the gold from the rune this karthus did.
has anyone noticed the Karthus' name??!! sheesh

Since the buff to the health rune, its generally almost always better than armor, even in jungle, unless enemy team is like full ad
