  1. Man, so many are talking about Mario going super saiyan, but I am surprised Plessie got a more major role, being very underrated and under appreciated. I noticed Pless has a way to dive faster and get a extra boost. And honestly having Plessie in free roam is something I always wanted, ever since Odyssey. And here Pless is being used as a way of fast travel, which I love! I get to spend more time with my favorite sea monster!

Bowser Jr. was completely unexpected as a partner. However this isn’t the first time Bowser got corrupted and Bowser Jr in worry for him. The first was Mario + Rabbids. The only difference is Junior didn’t team up with you in M+R. He only pleaded you help save Bowser.
From the trailer, it seems Junior will play very much like Cappy. So this is likely to be a 1-2P campaign. You can just play Mario and have Junior have minor control or get a friend to play as Junior. Bringing back the paint brush is such a good thing too. It’s been long since Junior got to use it in another mainline Mario game.

Seeing both Plessie & Junior get so much use in this game now just makes me so happy! Bandana Bois 4 Life!!!

  2. I don’t know if there will be multiplayer. This might’ve been done for trailer purposes but the cats that were near Mario were the colors of the other characters cats suit. I don’t know if this will have a full fletched multiplayer.

  3. Now I see why this game’s title is so similar to the Mario & Luigi RPG games.
And this new Bowser form reminds me of both Black Bowser from Color Splash and the Giant Bowser Boss battle from Dream Team!

I like that they are taking some inspiration from the Mario spin-offs but I feel the execution could’ve been much better in a lot of places, especially Mario’s Giant Cat form. That looks a little too ridiculous for me.

This explorable Open area doesn’t look that appealing or innovative to me.
But I’ll give Nintendo props for Bowser’s new design, it’s pretty much perfect.
