  1. Long term Warframe player here, started playing when… Oberon came out, the normal one not the prime version, and if you say you're crazy for having that opinion of Warframe, i agree with you, but i'm crazy aswell cause i agree with every single thing you said on this video.

  2. Its the end game content that hurts the game. The grind is fine, you really don't need rank 30. The open worlds are buggy but they also really feel claustrophobic going from big ass open areas to squeezing through narrow tunnels. The missions are uninspiring one and done, one and done, wash rinse repeat. They don't actually lead you to something new, they had a thought with the captures turning into exterminates but they should have fleshed that out better. Would have been cool for a defense to turn into a sabotage with a mid point exit if you didn't want to continue. The game isn't bad but by the time you get that rank 20+ you burn out on the same shit over and over, the railjack was a nice distraction but its the same formula but those who play longest are min-maxing, at some point even a mediocre build can smash all the content and the truly well built just run ragged over the whole game. There are only two end points in warframe: Fashion Frame and min-maxing your favorite weapon. It needs a challenge and not the RNG of harrow systems challenge. As for what that is I don't truly know. I liked the two team launch missions, that was fun but it was completely temporary for scarlet spear. I'm still for the 8 mans they removed but I just like more people being involved. I suppose we've all busted enough lewt pinata bosses to be meh. Maybe the game itself is just showing its age.

  3. It’s fun when your new because there’s a lot of stuff to do and get done, after you do just about everything it just feels tedious, the only thing to really grind for is other warframes, weapons, and mods, it’s tedious to play over 30 minutes to 2 hours of of survival 30 times only to get a shit tone of copies of stuff you already have, and when you do get what you want you have to get resources and/or wait for it to finish building, and you have to play platinum to rush the builds, you must build everything and wait for it, that’s all that warframe is.

  4. I started a new account this year to try out the new intro campaign. I just finished all the quests. So story content wise, I have caught up with MR30 players, but I'm only MR9. The rest is grinding weapons, warframes, pets etc.

  5. What killed me about this game was the long ass grinds

Compared to destiny every good piece of gear will maybe take you a day or two to. Get the shot you want

Then on warframe you finally get. The thing you were farming for then it’s like * 1 wEeK cOnsTruCtion tIme*

  7. A quick statement about the game is this. It used to be a good game, but at this point its just business, thats the vibe I get from it, they make the money they need, but don't have a direction cause they don't "need" it, they slowly just make content (sort of) that they need for hype and $$$, unfortunately.

  8. You've been a long time player and no longer play it yet you can't keep yourself making WF vids. Dude move on, you outgrew the game. Oh wait, your non WF vids don't get as much views as the WF vids are.

  9. As both a D2 and WF player you said exactly what I’ve been thinking… this video is what made me subscribe… Bungie gets flamed when they screw up but when DE messes up or neglects something; almost silence… the past year has been rough for WF… when Railjack dropped everyone was hyped and ready for sentients… we got a month long event with crimson spear then boom another month long event with Orphix venom and along the way Kuva Liches that don’t relate to the sentient storyline… you’re speaking the truth man… keep the videos coming 💪💪

  10. It’s hard to speak an uncomfortable or unpopular truth; but taking the easy route of quietly allowing mediocrity to be “good enough” will be a lose lose proposition long term. The world needs more people like you Rio, willing and able to speak the unpopular truths but in a non inflammatory way. Agree with everything you said.

  11. Warframe is definitely something close to a looter shooter but I wouldn't call it a looter shooter only because the "loot" doesn't drop in typical looter fashion, like directly from enemies and then you instantly use them, blueprints drop and resources to build them plus mods which makes the game very much built around spending and not looting..by the way I don't consider grinding looting. I've been playing since zephyr prime dropped, so about 2 years, so I know my way around the economy and unless you dedicate your time to trading and or farming desirable blueprints or arcanes there is no way to earn plat which locks you out of all of the cosmetics in the game like armor and trinkets and skins which are usually half of the items in the loot pool in other looters.

  12. I THINK that warframe has been kicking its legs up on the desk lately, but the one game I thought would steal me away for a good amount of time ended up being even more lazily directed over the course of 8 years. Cyberpunk 2077

  13. I've been in and out of Warframe since it first came to Steam. Every time it's the same cycle. Start playing. Why did I ever quit? Finally hit something I can't outskill, out brute, or out think. Look up what I have to do to get on par. Start doing it. Ten days of working on it later I'm only just now 1% of the way there. Calculate how much more time it will take to achieve what I need without dumping money into the game. Lose interest and move on.

The Relic system really broke it for me. Under the key system, you had a loop that rewarded you for playing more. 1 key could get you many prime pieces if you could last in Defense and Survival. Then Relics happened, and now it just became how fast you could crack relics. Which meant speed running relics. Which is, essentially, finding a way to get more by playing less. Eventually I was spending more time in loading screens than I was actually playing the game.

The game play is good enough to stand on its own, making any meaningful progress means either dumping cash into the game, or turning Warframe into a job. Sorry, I don't play just one game.

  14. Whether you like it or not, whether I like it or not, warframe isn't going anywhere, so stop being a manchild and get on with your life. Right now you just love hating the game too much, calm down, take a chill pill and just let it go. Shit hit the fan, the milk has been spilled, and you're just childish

  15. I feel like a LOT of this vid was just you (Rio) complaining about players, viewers, etc. You definitely had good points, which made me think, especially as a player who only returned to the game roughly 3 months ago. Just feel like a lot of different things could have been said or the video could have been a lot shorter for what it was.

Keep in mind Warframe is also a free to play game. To someone like myself, especially having been affected by COVID, that means a LOT to me. I'm not ina position to throw out money for a game, then DLC's, then expansions, then whatever else comes out. It's just not a feasible option for me.

You're very correct about the community in WF. They'll complain to each other, MAYBE a little in the forums, but they get so humble come dev stream or twitter. Personally I just wish they'd fix the damn bugs. I feel like the game is in an alright state, but I dunno, something about it feels weird. Maybe it's stagnant? I am hoping with the money they'll have access to from Tencent will help them, but I'm not sure. I'm DEFINITELY NOT a fan of those in charge right now. Rebecca, Steve, etc. I feel like it may be time for a change in leadership, but maybe that's just me.

  16. They just need to bring back things like dojo starboard things , and they need things that arent just grind, they need actual fun, and eventually if they dont add actual content they will die out, because the game gets boring very quickly, once you get everything what do you do? NOTHING. They need things to prevent that, and not just more grind, if the game has a dead end and that dead end has no joy to it then the game is bound to fail

  17. So Game media is more interested in a game that was quantifiably shit when it came out, crashed your system and data, wasn't very engaging, and was just generally garbage than they are in warframe?

  18. Destiny is honestly garbage. Also, it feels like you are expecting Warframe to completely remake itself just to be relevant. A game shouldnt have to remake ENTIRELY just to please douchebags.

  19. The New War has been sold as Essentially the game expansion and I feel the warframe community as a whole is waiting to see if this delivers. Railjack was a failure however if the new war comes out with a strong quest line that includes rail jack warframe will start trending again or die a slow death

  20. Im a day one DESTINY player and I've got to say that it has disappointed me for 7 long years. The gameplay is fun at times, but the content has been the same for YEARS and the loot isn't even there to justify playing the SAME maps and strikes over and over.

Destiny 2 has had the same PvP maps in rotation since launch! Only a few new maps and a bunch of old maps brought back. The game sucks but there's no other console game like it. (I tried anthem but lack of content killed it, I tried Division 2 but it just disappeared, and now I'm on warframe)

Only reason why I keep coming back to destiny is cuz they tease us with badass trailers, and show us 99% of the campaign cutscenes so they fool us into thinking there's TONS of story they haven't shown us… they keep lying, and I keep falling for it. Atleast warframe doesn't charge u $70 for a years worth of shitty content. Ill definitely purchase warframes in-game if I enjoy it to support the devs. But I've never spent a dime on micro transactions in Destiny cuz they suck

  21. While I play every once in a while….have not played in months again….but the game is in a cycle…new frame…new weapon…new pet….as stated….a bunch of hype. You farm it and then…that is it. Or then they nerf it…and I truly hate being nerfed… I'm going to now mention something that was new, got nerfed, and also got put on the backburner…

Railjack. It was new. It was a possible shift. I built mines from scratch as a solo dojo. I farmed, earned the parts and mods I wanted…and then… Well, first it wasn't well received and then a lot of big things got nerfed. I love the comparison to dynasty warriors/samurai warriors… Braindead as hell. Overpowered character…but fun.

They nerfed something that people weren't playing much anyways, serving to further discourage those of us who were.

I guess in the end, progression seems stagnant, potential seems wasted, nerfs seem unnecessary, and projects just feel unfinished or unimportant.
