Your diagnosis makes sense but for me vanguard has dropped way more often than og. I keep alternating when I get bored but I’ve gotten maybe one drop all time off of the OG captain. Another great video though!

I’ve farmed 36 hours and I’ve only 2 and one got taken by glitch
Maybe higher world ties will change this making the drop rate higher for side quests and boss kills

Thanks to your videos if got all 10 legendary’s as of 10 minutes ago
After 6days of farming for 3h per day got my second lego and after 6min other one, sitting on 3 after 40h, coming from marksman on og captain
I have farmed 69 hours and I have obtained 11 legendary and of those 3 repetitions I have dismantled them, and only playing about 2 or 3 hours from Geforce Now.
I feel llike this doesnt work on ps5 dont give a damn what people say. Ive been farming for weeks, days, hrs and not a single drop.
Genuinely never thought I would ever find myself sinking this much time into farming a demo. I'm about 100 hours in as well.
Weird that both of your Marksmen are right next to each other. On PS5, one Marksman is near where you enter and the second is next to the Captain.
