  1. Good video dude 👍 gutted about Anthem… But I'll give this demo a go in a bit! Hear about the Outrider devs apparently putting the Anthem insignia in the game? If so, it's a nice touch

  2. The demo was really fun I had a blast and it really cool that they put the anthem insignia in the game I put all of my characters. I also felt it was a little bit like Gears of war and Mass effect and also but I am liking the story so far it pretty cool

  3. I’m liking it so far! Only thing I’m bored of is people who HAVE to keep comparing it to other games. Lol. Outriders is just a good bit of fun and I’m looking forward to the full release. Just hope they sort out the very odd shaky cutscene camera.

  4. Been playing a technomancer with 8 hours logged. I'd say the class plays very different and encourages long range fighting, but it enables you to do that with traps like mines, tools like turrets that can grab aggro and bring the attention off of you, and the encouragement to just shoot/use powers as much as you can and get some damage in so you can heal yourself; because you don't have the crazy spikes in health regen the other classes have. I like the style of play, but I agree on your term of "gears-light"; you can use cover, or completely ignore it, you're encouraged to charge instead of hang back or hug cover. I did find even with the "long range" class you are able to adapt and be aggressive in different ways. Agree the camera shake was weird on cutscenes; even if they just softened it to be a little more steady, but that could be a lot of work depending on how they built the cutscenes in the engine. It is grim, it is dark, and the brown/grey/red/green problem will likely back off a bit when we get to explore new biomes. I like that the outrider, even if their remarks and reactions seem a little out of place, are super relatable. like the "bad day" quest; I feel like it was a gentle crack in the 4th wall, not a full blown knock down, but a nod to how the player probably feels about their first day on Enoch. In the same boat though, optimistic but not outright hopeful; the devs have been extremely transparent and very good listeners so potentially any glaring issues could be resolved and improved before true launch. They did say they're limited in what they can do before the launch, but day 1 patch stuff is still on the table.

  5. They said on Twitter they're looking into the cinematic shaking and the dialog issues. Their communication is excellent with the community so far. I like the game. I think they're on the right track.

  6. This game feels a lot like Diablo or any game in that genre. When you get good and really tune your build you will be flying around destroying things. That appeals to me, this is the type of looter shooter I was looking for. Leaning more into the building your character side and finding weapons that change the way you play. A lot of games haven't leaned into that as much as I'd like.

  7. Honestly, it's the looter shooter I've wanted. The two classes I plan to play (Devastator and technomancer) Are a blast. I'm excited for an actual story in a looter shooter that isn't "You should have been there!" The entire game.

  8. The game feels like a mobile game.
Momentum example For running Or any kind of movement is not there. The game feels like defiance back In the days… Level design is lacking a lot of diversity.

  9. Kind of feels and looks like a step back from what Anthem was bringing to the genre. Shame we're pretty much swapping in steak for scraps. A lot of work required for full release
