I tried this with one of the DLC weapons at level 10 and took it in to WT15. While have like a 1237% weapon damage bonus it did significantly lower damage than my level 44 gun of the same weapon type. This leads to me believe there’s a sweet spot for this scaling bug.

Do not download the new patch for ps4. It's completely broke and ppl are reporting more character wipes from the update. If you download it, well, good luck. Download at your own risk I guess.
I can 100% confirm this is definitely an issue. I had a lvl46 auto Shotgun I was using to clear CT11 expeditions. Worked great. I spent the 1200 drop pod resources to level it up and suddenly I can't clear those same CT11 expeditions anymore.
The DPS used to be good enough that I could kill the boss without running out of ammo in the mag. Now that it's level 47 the damage isn't good enough. Tested it on multiple runs to make sure it wasn't me playing poorly. After 12 runs its definitely not my skill level

Well @dpj, I have a 482k firepower buffed Devastator, was doing 340k-800k a crit but since the update I do 100k-200k or lesss
Mean while I get one shot on world tier 4

I'm on PC and ran the same weapons and levels almost as you against the same boss but didn't see the same results as you did. Maybe this is an Xbox thing?
Sounds like Anthem 2.0 where lower level weapons did way more damage.

They are so afraid of boosting or really high level stuff stomping lower level enemies they completely screwed up the scaling. Which is something I REALLY don't get, like so many times in borderlands I would use my max level character to help a friend get their second character done with the story now in this I have to wait for my friend to get max level to play with them cause its such a pain to use max characters. I don't know why they are just so fucking afraid.

I'm on ps4 and equipped all level 10 gear and it did raise the damage bonus to something like 1200% but I did very little damage, by little damage I mean basically none?

Tried this out befor I uninstalled m8 seems like an xbox thing to me unless it's proper random They havnt commented on anything or the dire nerfs
Anthem had the same kind of issues where level 1 guns did more damage than high level masterworks.
This is something I found out few days ago and made a topic on reddit, bascially, if you are outleveling a zone, your gear is downscaled, furthermore, Firepower will give different % dmg bonus to lower level weapons, that is much higher than %bonus to high lvl weapons. Leading to a situation where you can do 10x more dmg with a gray lvl weapon than legendary lvl 50 weapon. So for example, 100 k firepower, will give 90% dmg multiplaer to lvl 50 weapon, while same 100 k firepower will give 90000k% increasde dmg to lowe lvl items. The only downside is, Average item level, give you base hp and anomaly power, so if u go with lvl 1 weapon, uc an get 1 shot. But the rabbit hole goes deeper, basically every1 weapon have base dmg, lets say lvl 50 weapon have 2000 dmg per bullet, and lvl 1 weapon has 2 dmg per bullet. if you scale that dmg by the % increase of firepower, you would think you get the correct numbers right? Wrong, there is some hidden multiplayer in the formula, that means, with 2000 base dmg, and 100% increase from firepower, you will not end with 4000 dmg, but this will fluctuate based on WT or expedition tier, and it will fluctuate depending on itemlevel of your weapon.

2 day i lost my main devestator lvl 30 expedition. Tier 14 hes standing in lobby with no gear on and if i log him in game crashes, can still play alts.
In Anthem peps used the starter gray weapon it didt more dps then highest lvl lego weaps. Anthem allso didt fast bug patches, but every time the fix 5 bugs 10 new was added.
CT is unaffected though right?
It's a lv43+ issue.
Don't take Challenge Weapons into Worlds, they are useless.
Keep lv42 or below for Worlds.
Lv43 or higher for Challenge Tiers.

I don't know I mean I don't seem to be having any issues I'm on world tier 8 and I just beat world CR7 earlier and I was using the same weapons as I was yesterday same armor and everything and I didn't have any problems but I'll pay closer attention this time for sure
I really don't like scaling in this game. If I want to go down to wt1 with lvl50 gear, I should absolutely destroy. It just seems redundant that they want to have you feel like you are always being challenged regardless of wt or ct
Broke? They ran out of money? Oh, you mean not functioning properly, that's brokeEN. Sorry for the piss taking, but yeah, you're right. I spent all day farming for a specific shotgun roll, and my new level 44 gun is underperforming compared to the level 42 one I was farming with.

is this why my trickster's dmg on the shotgun went down to half the previous ammount, i upgraded it to CT10 using materials, and went to farm CT9 and suddenly my dmg dropped a notch
They ruined the game I really hope they revert the patch
