At this point I have extracted everything I can out of the Outriders demo other than nine more legendaries it will take 300 hours to farm. Here are my final thoughts on everything we’ve gotten to experience so far.

  1. Fully agree on trickster being the class to try. So much fun!
I love that they have most armor class agnostic. Everyone is rushing to kill to heal, so there's not really an argument in why certain classes would need xyz kind of gear. It's not like one is a wimpy wizard that can only wear robes and the other is a knight that needs armor to survive. They're all badasses that get shot up all to hell and still destroy everything. It could be cool if eventually there's tanking gear and gun gear and ability gear, so your playstyle dictates your look more than your class. Then, if you're a tank pyro (apparently that can be a thing?), wearing the same bulletproof vest as a devastator makes sense. Similarly, if you do a shooty trickster, wearing the same shooty armor as a techno is fine. I'd much rather have that then "Oh! This helmet looks awesome!" "But you can't wear it because you're not a titan. You're a warlock and warlocks must have a weird narrow slit down the middle of their face, not an awesome badass helmet."

  2. Your animation skills are getting so good that Evie is now coming in on cue.
Thanks for the video, Paul! I might have to try this game. I no-lifed Diablo 3 in college HARD, and if this is similar? Nice

  3. In the beginning I was struggling to enjoy this game because I was trying to play it like Gears of War and throwing abilities out when I could. After dying alot and getting frustrated I decided to charge in and just go nuts. It was at this moment Outriders clicked for me. THIS IS HOW YOU PLAY! You're supposed to run in and just be this chaotic force of destruction and I really, really enjoyed myself after this. I do hope the areas open up and allow for some elements of discovery but overall as a looter shooter I'm down for the full experience. Devastator and Trickster are definitely my favorites atm.

  4. I started on ps4 base and it was terrible. I then got it on my below average pc build from a few years ago, and even though it only gets to 50fps, it is so much better

  5. I thought the story doesn't take itself seriously, case the McCain quest. I got a good laugh there. I'm sure Outriders dev are a little shocked that people are farming like if it was Borderlands, or maybe not but with the mods it give us more reasons to do so.

  6. Evie requires her own channel at this point. In other news, how much are Destiny and this endebted to Lewis Carroll? Finally, someone’s had a hair cut

  7. What, you don't like having a black screen, then picking a door lock, then another black screen, just to go from one room to another? Or a black screen, a tiny jump over a tiny gap, then another black screen?

  8. 3 second load times is where you draw the line? Are you serious? You are totally fine with spending 2 minutes loading into tower in Destiny and then 2 minutes loading to helm then 2 minutes to go to any other activity?
