  1. I feel like he's fine right now. I honestly wouldn't want a weapon buff ability on devestator but instead and anomoly buffs your abilities instead of weapons. Just an idea

  2. I would rather keep the Devastator as the tank class. I actually dislike how the ammo feels mandatory (to a lot of people). A lot of people go top tree with the ammo power regardless of class and that's just boring.

    I'd rather see all classes be able to play more varied specs.

  3. In my opinion, the whole "X-ability rounds" idea was just absolutely lazy to begin with. I mean, you have a class the manipulates time and space, a class that controls fire and a class that commands ice and toxin and the best you could come up with was 'slather my bullets in an element'? Nah. It doesn't encourage team work, team synergy, nor does it bring interesting and creative build diversity to the table. Once it becomes the mundane meta, it may face nerfs and that always upsets the one-trick pony players in the community. Why should the devastator lose abilities to gain a piss-boring colored glowing bullet of easy kills? Instead, change the elemental rounds to something more creative and dynamic for build diversity.

I main Devastator and actually really enjoy the class how it is, it can be annoying not pumping out tons of damage against the stupid birds but its super satisfying when you dive into a pack of elites and you can just face tank all their dps. If anything I would like a little more damage placed into earthquake (or possibly just give it an armour/barrier break) and spikes to be multiple as standard just to boost the dps build tree lines but over all it is a really satisfying meat shield class to play. It can just get a little disheartening when you see people soloing the max content with the bullet skill when the endgame should be pushed more towards working as a team with the variety of skills that is given.

  5. Me starting the game: Hmm… What class should I choose?
    Voice inside my head: Choose Devastator. It's cool, stompy, unstoppable, intimidating and less unoriginal.
    Me: well… Ok.
    Voice inside my head: Ha-ha. Got him!

I would like to see ability builds being viable because now it is with damage or nothing , as for devastate he needs his healing passive skill changed from “healing from close range kills” to “healing from enemies dying in close range” because it really sucks that he is positioned as tank but if you do no damage some technomanser will cancel your heal by just out damaging you and ultimately killing you , so you fight with your own teammate

  7. I mean, couldnt they change the bullet stopping ability to have the auto reflect mod standard, and then increase weapon damage/velocity when firing through the barrier, for you AND teammates? That could certainly be interesting. With autoreflect as a mod being replaced with full reflect, which is currently the default.

  8. I think before making changes to classes they need to first fix bugs. Let the game go as is for at least a few more weeks to see more builds come out testing and so forth. Also instead of buffing the class make it more useful towards what it’s supposed to do which is tank. Make end game a little more difficult so having a tank helps.

  9. The Devastator is the only class that feels uniquely made. You have to think and plan your ability usage and prioritize certain enemies when playing the Devastator. Which feels fun and engaging. It feels like you are a true power house. Even though the other three classes are fun in there own way i feel the bullet abilities take away from what they truly could be. And dropping an ability that you dont use just to add an ability thats used more frequently on other classes feels like it would cheapen the Devastator. If you added a bullet ability to the Devastator what would honestly be the point of having any other classes cause they would all basically be the same at that point.

I would say devastator is the only class that isn't forgotten as at least they have something to work towards, they're end game gear will probably be worn as it buffs their anomaly skills which is what the game was intended for. I am coming up to around my 16th piece of legendary armor found and almost all of the gear set pieces sit in storage as only 1….the torturer set will buff my 1 gun skill 1 don't particularly want to use but have to if i'm playing with people to keep up any damage. the gun skills either need a rework or anomaly gets a big buff so people bother with skills.

  11. Boulder dash is what helped me max 30 and world by day 2. Devastator is fine. It may feel different but tankiness is there. I frame with Boulder dash and pair up with golem armor is amazing. We can’t expect the game to be 100% ready anymore it’s 2021 and this is the best game we got all year.

    PS: bleed is the function to build around and once you get more t3 mods. Everyone will shift to build for survivability / burst kit.

  12. Or or how about this… buff anomaly damage because without endgame gear those abilities don't do squat mid game and up. Plus it will allow the other classes more diverse builds as well.

  13. The problem (imo) isn't really that the devestator lacks the "bullet" ability, but more that all the other classes relies so heavily on it.

    Sure – A solution could be to simply give the devastator the same ability as any other class, but i honestly think a better solution would be to rework the bullet abilities to be less mandatory on the other classes, and open up for more build variations. As much as we enjoy the dmg buff it provides, then i also do believe most of us know how bad it feels, whenever the buff drops off for whatever reason…

  14. Bouldersash is honestly the worst ability in the entire game imo… Replace it with something like 'stone rounds' a simple 2xDMG modifier and maybe a stagger effect or something similar.

  15. i personally think it should stay as a tank class, sure it doesn't do the damage but oh boy you know how to take a hit that wont make you run like the other classes. Having class diversely is great, if every class is the same, what's the point in playing others?
