If you’re in Group C and you’re crying about not getting anything, you’re a petulant child. Enjoy the hunt for the rare gear and make the game last. Who knows when we get another DLC.
I wasn’t affected so I don’t care about getting stuff. I just think that those that were affected should get their items back to the best of the developers ability without breaking the account and or game
I never got any wiped or anything but on console I'm still getting error and booted out of my game solo

This is a case of refund and move forward to another game. People don't have the time to be playing this stupid game for long. Its a waste of time. Its unbalanced, unfair and frustrating. I wish I never bought it.

I never have played MP so I'm, fortunately, not affected by the bug. I just hope that everybody else is taken care of. BUT, I get the fact they may not be able to perfectly restored.
Well for my part i am in groupe C but my 2 friends with who i play have been getting their inventory wipeout so we had to restart characters to be able to really be able to play together. While i wasn't directly affected i still got affected and i find the compensation really lacking. 1 legendary weapon is pretty cheap and the emote is pretty garbage.

Honestly I only want them to fix the servers, remove the player scaling and I'll happily grind in peace.
Many of us in Group C stopped playing the game entirely until the inventory glitch was fixed due to the fear of our inventories also being wiped. So to your question at the end about if we would be bothered by getting some free epics instead of farming them ourselves….No. Personally, I wouldn't be bothered by this. It would be perfectly fine compensation for the insanely problematic launch this game had. I mean, you can rag on Cyberpunk all you like, but at least that game (on PC that is) was playable all the way through on day one. Outriders? Server disconnects for most of the first week followed by kneejerk nerfs followed by inventory wipes. Yeah – a small stockpile of purples wouldn't be a bad idea on top of that "appreciation" package. I'm generally not one to demand compensation, but come on. As for those that would be bothered by the free epics, they can very easily sell/dismantle/trash them.
The devs need to fully realize is this: They messed up. Big time. Not the playerbase. While I understand needing to balance out the compensation to make sure they don't over/undercompensate, at this point they need to start bringing smiles on people's faces, as patience is at an all time low and their "Successful" launch monetarily-wise will not last.
Oh also: 11:00 And yet they decided to nerf certain abilities and skills because a tiny percentage of players at endgame used them to breeze through it, while the clearly VAST majority are still struggling in the main campaign. Smart. Yeah, I'm greatly regretting this purchase more and more, and will not be buying any other People Can Fly games in the future before reviews come in. I stuck my neck out for this game because of its good demo, and these devs happily chopped my head off.

They should give everybody a legendary for each character slot. That’s 6! Why? Bc what are the chances of that 1 legendary being you don’t already have. At least with 6 there is a better chance that I get something I don’t already have. I already see it now some bull crap legendary that I already have or have no use for in build bc it’s niche…. but yeah 1 legendary for over a week of not being able to play sounds fair
What about those of us who have lost a bunch of stuff from the numerous disconnects that we have suffered since launch?

I'm in group d I like to think. My level 48 techno was wiped, I was upset at first but then made another techno. It literally only took a day or two to get to ct15 and a good enough build to solo gold. If I get stuff back on my og techno cool, if not it's not the end of the world.
So fuckin done with this game. The entire time I feel like I'm crawling over every fight. The enemies are so unfair
If PCF don't fix the servers and crash issues. The game will eventualy die soon enough

What a drama…. I would have just played up a new char. In 2 or 3 days you have your Godrolls again…
Khaze…as someone who can get the attention of the devs…would you please bring to their attention this stuck in signing in screen issue! I’m playing on the PS5 and I’m using wired wifi and I close the game and all this other “tricks” and still 90% of the time I still get stuck in this stupid ass screen. It’s honestly the most frustrating part of this always online only game.

One thing to keep in mind when estimating players who care about end game is that a significant amount of players who haven't reached endgame by this point never will. Most of the people who haven't reached expeditions will have left the game and won't be back. We know this, because most players simply do not finish games they buy. It's a well known fact of the industry. So we can't just assume that because those people aren't in end game that their experience of end game will eventually matter. In fact, I think the experience of end game matters much more for the people who are already in end game, because they've shown that they are the audience for it.
That said, I agree with your conclusion that it may be the best move to be conservative with item restoration. I think there are plenty of ways to build back your epic inventory if you lost god rolls. It doesn't take long to find new rares with your god roll stats and upgrade them until you get a secondary talent you can work with. Legendaries are the real pain in the ass to collect, and those should definitely be restored.
By the time I get my stuff back all those builds I was going for are going to be nerfed
I dont see where the problem is. Group A could not play at all. Group B got wiped as well but cpuld stull play. So they can still re progress the game. Think about group A CANNOT PLAY. group B is complaing cause they want to the same from group A. I restarted a character cause mine was locked. I have everything if not better than my wiped char. I worked hard to get it back. Group if they conplain they want a participant trophy. ALSO once you get god rolls and stuff the game is pretty much done. So people need to just relax and continue to ENJOY the game not want to max it so fast to where you dont play anymore. Oh cool im one of the 10% lol
Like so many developers lately breaking promises, launching broken games and then want us to be ok with half-ass solution! Did we paid half price for the game?

I'm Group C. If I got god rolls, I wouldn't care. Like, no ones putting a gun to my head and forcing me to use any gear I may get from the restoration. If I don't want god rolled gear, I'll just dismantle it and farm it for myself. I'd rather Group B get everything back. And if Group C really get butt hurt about getting god rolled items, next best thing is to simply create a secondary appreciation package for Group B with more stuff in it. Either way, Group B needs to be prioritized over Group C. Group B doesn't get a choice to or not to use while Group C does.
I think, mostly since they put so much emphasis on their analytics, that most players affected by this bug were not far enough in the game to acquire more than 20 legendaries. I mean I haven't even acquired that many and I don't think I have even been affected by the wipe.
Also in the case a player did have more legendaries then what they planned on restoring they also probably plan to do it on a case by case basis cause the number of people would have to be extremely low.
I like your content, it’s why I still watch, but this game is pretty much done. I’m sure they’ll continue to work, (it’s literally their job), but I’m not sure what would bring me back. It wasn’t close to $60 worth of content, even for a complete game, if we consider it that. I don’t really have any faith that even if they deliver a DLC that it would be worth the money. Now that we know how they handled legendaries for MH, the many many issues with items not working as intended, the broken classes, initial nerfs, server issues, coop connectivity issues, and so on, I’m not really sure why I bothered. It had something going for it, and then it just never got realized. So you’re cool, but the game is a DOD (dead on delivery).
This game is a no go for me. Devs are not player friendly.
I’m CT14 prepping gear for EOTS and I haven’t upgraded 15 items yet so working off that achievement might not be an accurate measurement.
At this point some people just will not be happy period. Theres always a vocal minority that makes mountains out of molehills. We know most companies would just fix the bug that wiped inventories and say good luck with the farm and not communicate what so ever after, let alone restore their items.
Please do something about those 28 or more locked weapons in game,plus the pieces of armor.FFS.
