Now that Outriders is almost here, I wanted to talk about where my expectations are after a full month of the demo and all the preview materials they’ve shown off.

  1. I thin they need to explain that this is the diablo model not a live service. We are so far into the live service era that people forgot that that is a thing. Square not wanting to invite comparisons to Diablo will hurt them in the long run I think.

  2. I love the demo and wanted to grind out more, but when you think about how many world tiers there are I stopped playing the demo. I didn't want to get burnt out. Still looking forward to the game as finding things to do on Destiny has slowed down until next season.

  3. Wait. You said "not running the same mission over and over". But…that's exactly what this game is…isn't it? Or am I blind…did I miss where Outriders shows us a open world or in fact any zone with random spawns and events? From everything I have seen, it's a extremely linear (you can even say it's a game on rails) looter shooter designed around a mission system. You enter zones, complete various stages of the zone/map/campaign and move on to the next zone/map/campaign area. Should you wish to farm…you reload into the various stages of a zone/map and replay a specific stages of the campaign. And you do this…over and over.
