  2. I hate to say it but yes it needs to be live service.I will burn through those expeditions in no time. Some frequent dlc will suffice.Expeditions is just not enough. And yes I know they will most likely drop more content if the game does well.Overall I think this game will do well regardless!

  3. Live service is a model for limited content drip feed, micro transactions and underwhelming seasonal content. Seasons in Destiny for FOMO and the empty promise that next season will be the big one theyve been working on that excuses the pathetic previous seasons……and it never happens. A complete experience and possible complete expansions sounds amazing at this point.

  4. I can say I've played most lottery shooters and I'm coming into this game with mediocre expectations my Hope's are high but let's be real and honest until we get numbers back and also how bugs we really wont know

  5. As long as the Outrider devs do what they want to do and don’t try to cater to streamers then il be happy. Streamers along with Luke Smith ruined destiny. Devs need to understand that you don’t need all these streamers playing to have a successful game bcos they are never just happy to play it. They want it moulded to suit their needs.

  6. the fact we get a full game from the get go is actually unheard of these days 🙂 will there be a payed DLC down the road? probably, and so what… i would gladly pay an amount for a DLC, so that the game can evolve. MTX NO THX. Remember if we dont give Dev´s any money we dont have games either. But giving us a Demo before launch is amazing for the community, and should be something all Dev´s should do with their game imo. it shows me that they have confidence in their product. This is how i personally want this to go…

    1. Preorder or not, is up to every individual
    2. Demo, YES PLEASE… let the player decide for them selfs
    3. price should reflect product and time put into develop it
    4. MTX NO THX(transmog is ok, if the price is fair)
    5. Pay for DLC´s later? Yes, but at a fair price and should also reflect quality of content and development time put in to it.

Just a few thoughts on this:)

  7. I'm going disagree with you on people who don't play bl2 for story we're literally destined for war:, we got horrible prequel that is bl3 into potentially bl4 which feels wrong for obvious reasons .bl3 is not good because it lost good perks of being great with no endgame or endgame loot to chase after dlc for it have been mix

  8. On a positive note – What everyone should expect is a launch day of bugs, glitches and crashes. The devs will use the typical excuse by saying “We didn’t expect this many ppl to play on release day, the servers couldn’t handle it blah blah.” The only thing we should expect is something NEW!
I’ve preordered the game already because I would like to play something NEW!

  9. I think this games strongest point will be that it will have crossplay, in the long term that will make a massive difference to the community longevity.

I'm definitely looking forward to this game, despite the failed attempts over the years at fresh looter shooters, I really think this one will pan out very well.

I just REALLY hope they give us m&kb on console (series x in my case) as I really can't afford to build a pc thay compares to my series x 😂

  10. I think there's a terrible, terrible misconception about what live service is and it's pretty clear that marketing for Outriders is taking advantage of that.

But take Division as an example, not year 2, mind you. Division 2 Year 1 had content patches every 3 months that were new stuff. Granted, it wasn't probably stellar but the content dropped all at once. It wasn't time gated or dripfed, no seasons either.

That's what Outriders should strive for. Take future content and drop it all at once on release date. They just need to work out what the cycle should be, 3 months, 6 months.

The problem people have with GAAS like Destiny 2 and Division 2 isn't with the content updates but the way they are time gated, dripfed and just predatory nature of seasons.

  11. Excellent explanation and great points. Borderlands 2 is the perfect example of how to do it right. Have played that through multiple times and loved it. Hope this one is great and we do get expansions.

  12. The most hyped games with live Service are broken as fuck. Why get every game a day 1 patch? Cause their game isn't finished and need work. So you can say its an beta. People can Fly do a great Job and let us know all the facts of the game and what we can expect in the future. So i hope we can trust them and play a good title with upcoming dlcs and so on

  13. I gave up on d2 that's a lost cause 👍🏽 but outriders is gonna be great like atleast were getting a full game not 25% of a game and then have to months for all the dlc to come out like thats super annoying

  14. I've been asking the devs almost every day if the game is coming to GeForce Now. I'd pre-order it in a heartbeat. Game looks great and I'm craving a 3rd person looter shooter.

  15. Hey man! Glad to see you have been posting again and about outriders! I've been keeping my eye on the game thinking of covering it myself also, maybe it can be like the old destiny days and we can play! Hope all is well homie

  16. People have to understand that the live service model, while entertaining, is usually shallow. I really hope Outriders takes what's good about borderlands and makes a nice, singleplayer/co-op replayable game.

  17. The more I see of outriders, the more Im really feeling it. The classes are cool, the gameplay looks good… the customization has me hooked already. No live service and being able to get a full looter shooter at launch is a godsend. Of course, day 1 will be buggy due to the amount of players that are gonna overload the servers.

Give me the weapon variety of borderlands, the shooting mechanics and big colorful orbs of loot from destiny, the realistic 3rd person feel of division and the mmo styled raids/dungeons of WoW and Diablo. That’s the perfect looter shooter right there.

  18. It would be really dope if they added quick hand to hand combat execution
Since there's lots of blood some mk11 style execution but love the way its looking hopefully these demos ain't fake like cyberpunk did

  19. in short-the game was told to be a complete experiencee including the endgame expeditions (but i doubt they will be still saying "NO!" if the game will be a success and playerbase will be simply asking for more.that that case i can see at least content drops like dying light have)
