Paraplegic Wheelchair Exercises #paralifetv #wheelchair #spinalcordinjury #disability #disabled #sci

In this video I show a dumbbell workout that can be done in a wheelchair, office chair or even your kitchen chair. I have been doing this type of workout at home more often now because it’s a quick, easy set up workout that gets the heart pumping! If a beginner start off with a light weight. Get used to the motion of each exercise and the transitions from one exercise to the other. When you feel ready increase weight bit by bit. For repetitions, I personally like shoot for 20 reps each exercise however it’s whatever the individual feels comfortable with. I also do this work out sitting on a weight bench which I will demonstrate in a later video with slightly heavier dumbbells.

Give it a try. Let me know your thoughts.

Bent over Dumbbell Rows
Dumbbell Shoulder Press
Lateral Shoulder Raises
Front Shoulder Raises
Bent Over Reverse Dumbbell fly’s
Bicep Dumbbell Curl
Triceps Dumbbell Overhead Extensions
Low to High Wood Chopper Left and Right Side

  1. Thank you for this demonstration.
Three questions: what is the weight in kilograms of each alter? do you do these exercises every day? and are they effective?
I go once a week to a physiotherapist to strengthen my arm muscles and prevent atrophy of those of the legs.
But if I could do some of the exercises at home, that would be good.
