  1. Fun fact about Pyke. about 70-80%of the time, pyke reaches full build between the 23-28 min mark. People always think he gain too much gold, but the gold he gains after reaching lvl 11is basically worthless. I just lost a game due my team surrendered cause enemy pyke had full build at 25 min. “That pyke scary”. If they just waited till 30 min we would have won that game.

  2. Mundo is a terrible design because hes a damage vanguard tank with such little utility to his team. He is quite literally to quote a smite term in league a "stat stick" that is either extremely good if those stats are strong or useless if they arent.

  3. "The last buff to Glacial wasn't as big as we hoped for enchanters"

I really want to know which "enchanters" the balance team is talking about here. Soraka can only proc it by rooting people with her E; Karma can only proc it by rooting people with W; Yuumi and Sona can only proc it with R.
What you've got left is Nami, Lulu, Seraphine, Morgana, Lux and Rakan. Out of those, the only one I'd really want to go Glacial on is possibly Morgana because the eternal root duration of her Q increases the duration of the Glacial trails, but people don't stack heal/shield power on her.

The issue with Glacial Augment for enchanters is that they generally get slows instead of hard crowd control. The champions who can most reliably proc it generally won't be building heal/shield power. If they want to make it an enchanter rune, they should make it proc on slows instead, but then there's the risk of it being poached by junglers.

  4. TL;DR Kai'Sa when she was strong was just the best delivery vehicle for the strong items, the post-rework items don't really fit what you want to build on her.

I think the biggest things with the overall balance state of bot lane since the item rework is just "what champion is the best carrier for the busted item(s) of the month". For a while there it was Kai'Sa because she is a very mobile champion that has good survivability, scales with every offensive stat, and has potentially best in role burst potential. So that made her a very good vehicle for the Galeforce-Collector tech. But that doesn't mean the Galeforce-Collector tech was good for her. Similarly she is a pretty good vehicle for Kraken Slayer when it's been strong, but it doesn't mean Kraken Slayer is something you would want if you were designing builds for her.

I called this out somewhere on Reddit and Twitter when the item rework went out, but I was just wrong on how good of a vehicle she was for busted items. Basically in the new item system, it's very difficult to go for the hybrid on-hit builds or the hybrid burst builds because all marksman items have crit (and I still think crit is a bad stat on her unless you build Rageblade, but Rageblade no longer has AD on it) and most of the mage items are trying to feed into Rabadon's or other synergies. Really the only items that are a la carte these days are fighter and assassin items, one of which has defensive stats she doesn't want and the other lacking attack speed which she *needs*. So in a game state where she isn't the preferred vehicle for applying Kraken Slayer procs, she kinda sucks.

  6. The Pyke stats are what I tell people when they say he's OP or try to FF when he's fed; you don't even need to see those number when you play a lot of Pyke, you can feel that sudden drop off, but I'm glad the stats reflect it.

Lotta people on the Pyke reddit saying the buffs are trash, and they're not perfect, but I think giving him more consistent snowballing is a fine direction over improving his lategame if they're worried about making him too consistent.
This is effectively a free scorch rune (same lvl 1 damage and CD) which is taken for early game focused champs (usually proc'd at range so not a perfect comparison). Look forward to seeing how he feels now.

  7. There is of course a thing of "players too willing to surrender". Then there's the actual "maybe I'm not having fun anymore being 1 shot by Pyke again while playing this videogame I'm meant to have fun in".

  8. 11:00 I wouldn't discard that option too fast. Players playing scale, even after the objective bounty seem to give up really quickly, especially top laners. I see kayle, fiora etc being the first to call ff15 even though those are the sort of champs that almost auto scale later.
Compare that to mid lane champs like kass, anivia, orianna, who usually stick in there regardless and it's their teammates who want to ff if the players on those champs fall behind.

  9. I do wanna point out for Kai’Sa that she is not the same scaling adc as before back in season 8 and 9.

Her scaling stems from the fact that she builds both AD and AP but season 11 with the item rework forced her to become an early-mid game adc despite being designed to be a mid-late game adc.

Even in her runes tells that she is skewered towards early game. In season 8 and 9, she has always taken runes that are best in mid-late game with Fleet and PTA. Season 10 and 11 has her running HoB which is an early game skewered rune. It falls off late game super hard compared to PTA and LT.

  10. I've always been a fan of Senna adc, but found Senna support to be lacking building full damage. Using the locket build you recommended has really made me enjoy playing Senna support again and I'm very glad you talked about it! It feels amazing

  11. 10:40 I think the factor you are missing here is that players picking up Gwen for the first times tend to only win ~41% of the time in their first 10 games, which increases to ~46.5% in their next 10 games, then takes 30+ games to finally level out at 49%+.

So, based on data, players picking up Gwen seem to lose lane so hard that the game is just over. But more experienced Gwen players do this to a lesser degree, yet they still don't even come close to making up for the weak early game of new Gwen players.

  12. Hey would is be possible for you to post your data sheets somewhere? I'd love to see the math behind how you figured out Kai'sa damage because when I simulate your scenario's they aren't accurate. Hence why I'd like to take a look at them, my questions are like, did u take Leagues Rounding Numbers Into account and stuff.
