2,7k for a worthless, common game?! This is 99% VGA Grading margin and 1% game value… I would not pay more than 30 USD + 80 USD grading cost for that game and for me it does not matter whether it is 90 or 100. It is still a game not worth any grading at all. In 10 years there still will be thousands of trilogy copies whereas other first prints will be even harder to find. I would rather stick with a VGA 80 Suikoden 2 copy or a 8.0 Crash Bandicoot CiB. This guy will regret his purchase soon…
The trilogy version is much easier to find mint because it was protected by a cardboard container and came out much later in the systems life. Plus everyone who wanted to play Vice City at that point already had the game so less people bought the trilogy pack. The only reason to get a 100 grade is purely bragging rights. I've bought a few VGA 90's and opened them. They looked perfect to me and I'm picky with condition.
Very good Video, again! ๐๐ป "If you want pristine condition, you have to pay tomorrow's price" ๐ I would never pay VGA100 prices, but I love to watch these price Rallyes.
I think it's safe to say this is the same thing that happens with TCG community and a PSA 10 vs BGS Pristine 10 Black label. Or even a PSA 10 vs a BGS 9.5.
I wonder how long it will be before mountains of disc based games are reprinted by publishers like Sega did with the Yakuza PS2 game. Collectors are insane to pay big money for disc based games, as they can be reprinted at any time. The Yakuza game proved collectors will gobble up the reprints, so itโs easy money for publishers.
People spending that much on essentially a GTA "greatest hits" game shows the obsurdity of the market. It makes me feel like an idiot, plotting and strategizing with my 20 years of collecting knowledge, only to get shown up by this nonsense.
I don't really see the point of paying such a premium for a 100. You're basically collecting the acrylic case at that point
Can't wait for the day Greg buys a VGA 100 and during the mail video he scratches the case with his box opener๐
Great vid!
Great video! Definitely a topic that should be discussed more.

That's crazy!
Thank you for making this video Greg! Incredible!

This is exactly why we need population reports

Have you bought any perfectly graded games in the past?
