Perfecting Hu Tao with Maths | Genshin Impact Guide and Showcase

Hu Tao, oh where to begin. She is one of the best single target DPS in the game, she has insane combos and is undoubtedly good but, while she may bring a lot to the table damage wise she also brings with her a solid serving of issues, odd mechanics and as everyone says… CAVEATS! So, how do you nullify these caveats, how do you take Hu Tao to her damage ceiling and how do you make the best use of her kit. Well good day to you all you based Bluefins, I am the Immersive Fish and I’ll go over all of it and more on this Episode of Fish’s Guide to Genshin!

  1. I think a lot of people have been misunderstanding the term "caveat" and seem to simplify it as "bad". Hu Tao isn't bad. When a character have "caveats" it simply mean that you have to treat them and play them with a different playstyle. For example, C6 Noelle is a very strong main DPS but her "caveat" is that she scales with DEF the most and her bis is Whiteblind. Klee for example, has a different auto attack pattern from other catalyst users as her caveat which requires a player to use her differently than a traditional catalyst use like Mona or Lisa.

Reminder guys, caveat doesn't mean bad. It means you need to adapt to a different playstyle to maximize the damage output whether it be movesets or artifact builds. I kinda disagree with lavawalker cause I have a hate boner for that set though. I will rather go with 2 nob 2 witch or 4 nob than try lavawalker.

  2. I'm very happy that HuTao has a lot of caveats. Makes me more involved with the game, meaning, i can use her for a LONG time and not lose brain cells in the process
