In anticipation of Godzilla vs Kong here is Peter Jackson’s King Kong Offical Game of the Movie for Xbox Series X! This walkthrough covers the entire game, including the alternate bonus ending which you can unlock. Please note that this is the Xbox 360 version running on Xbox Series X via Backward Compatibility. This video was also made to show off what the game looks like with the new Xbox Series X Auto HDR feature! This game requires a disc to be played on any Xbox console and as such can not be played on Xbox One SAD or Xbox Series S or any disc-less Xbox Console going forward. I also managed to swap out the next-gen loading screens for the old-gen loading screens as they give more context to the levels and are way more interesting than the next-gen loading screens which are still images moving. All the cutscenes between loading screens are my own and were recorded from the GameCube version of this game then edited into the video by me. I hope everyone enjoys this as this is one of my favorite licensed movie games of all time alongside Spider-Man 2.

Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Ubisoft, based on the 2005 film King Kong. The game was created in collaboration between the film’s director Peter Jackson and the game’s director Michel Ancel. The game follows New York scriptwriter Jack Driscoll through Skull Island, as he attempts to save love interest Ann Darrow who has been sacrificed by the island’s natives to the giant gorilla King Kong.
The game allows players to play as both Jack Driscoll and King Kong. Players use firearms and spears as Jack; and punch, grab and use objects/corpses as Kong, to defend against and fight creatures on Skull Island. The King Kong segments are played from a third-person perspective, while the Jack levels are played from a first-person perspective. The game de-emphasizes the role of a heads-up display, with the developers explaining that this conceivably would help players to get further immersed into the game (although the HUD can be turned on in the settings).
It was released on PC and sixth generation platforms and a Nintendo DS version on November 21, 2005, while it was released on November 22, 2005, on the Xbox 360 as a launch title, as well as a Game Boy Advance version titled Kong: The 8th Wonder of the World; also, a PlayStation Portable version was released December 20, 2005. The film’s cast members reprise their roles.
Upon release, the console and PC versions received positive reviews, with critics praising the game’s immersive environments and audio, voice acting (with the cast winning the “Best Cast” award at the 2005 Spike Video Game Awards) and ability to play as Driscoll and Kong throughout the game. However, the DS version received negative reception due to bugs, poor AI and technical issues, while the PSP version received mixed reviews, with critics liking the inclusion of a multiplayer mode, but criticizing the shorter campaign length.

a game that reminds me a lot of my childhood my ps2
Please tell me how this is done. I wanna play through this game with these graphics
“Authenticity, Jack Real life” the Xbox series X made it real life alright for this game. I’ve never knew there was a game from the movie as a kid.
Its ok, i have enough magazines
I'm glad to see backwards compatible games rendered in 4K HDR on the Xbox Series X
You guys have any idea where to buy the game? Hopefully there will be a remaster or reseller because damn so hard to find this wonderful game!
Wish they remastered this game for ps5 or ps4
How did you get the game? It says unavailable on the Xbox store
AAH! I’M DRY!
Hey Bro, can I run this game in fisic format on the Xbox one / series x?
This "HD Upscale" really botched the faces. There is almost no expression any more, when once there was a very decent level of it. Still, very nostalgic for me as this was a game from my childhood, and a firm favourite.
Remaster!
I played hundreds of hours of this game back on the PS2, and oddly liked the graphics more back then other then the ´´HD´´ versions, did not think it looked better, but it felt darker and more atmospheric which is what this game was going for, also the low textures of each creature made them blend in more with their surroundings, giving a better camouflage and a natural feel to them than the HD ports which make the predators stand out from their surrondings. Kongs face looked better as well for not beeing so exageratedly detailed.
Absolutely love this game and I dearly miss it!
1:16:20 hundreds of hours playing this game, and I´ve NEVER noticed this body!
YOU’RE TO FAR JACK!
Wow still a beautiful game, i play on PC but the experience and graphics on the xbox x is much better. I have a PS4 and its sad sony dont give a fuck for retro games.
