Playing CYBERPUNK 2077 IN VR with Vorpx! // Cyberpunk 2077 VR Gameplay // Will it VR?

It’s here, arguably this years most anticipated game launch has arrived so it’s time to find out if Cyberpunk 2077 VR / Cyberpunk 2077 in VR is possible… This is probably my most requested Will it VR episode ever & I worked all morning to try and get it working with no joy but then this afternoon an update for Vorpx dropped & it now works! Cyberpunk 2077 VR is real thanks to this Vorpx profile but Will it VR? and is it worth playing like this right now… let’s find out!

This Cyberpunk 2077 Vorpx profile is a work in progress, that’s probably the most important thing to bear in mind when trying to experience some Cyberpunk 2077 VR mode / Cyberpunk 2077 VR gameplay for yourself. I have a pretty solid PC setup but to achieve desirable/playable results in Vorpx I needed to drop my graphics settings to medium (and then eventually all the way to low) to be able to enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 VR. It didn’t look the prettiest but it didn’t look BAD by any stretch of the imagination. Cyberpunk 2077 Vorpx headtracking was smooth after a little tinkering & it felt reasonably immersive once I was really into the action (gun fights feel particularly chunky & dangerous) but at the moment there is only Z Adaptive 3D & Z Normal 3D options in the Cyberpunk 2077 Vorpx profile which will be a deal breaker for many as although they offer depth & scale it isn’t the true 3D experience & does throw up some strange graphical glitches.

At this point I am blown away with the dedication & work with the guys at Vorpx (realistically probably one guy… looking at you Ralf) and I have no doubt that this profile for Cyberpunk will be an incredible & immersive way to play this game in VR after some further tweaks & changes. For now however I’d say experience it on a flatscreen with all the bells and whistles & then come back to Cyberpunk VR / Cyberpunk 2077 VR when the Vorpx profile has been fine tuned to perfection. It shows huge promise, but it’s not quite there yet and doesn’t quite compete with the best Vorpx games 2020…

  1. I've been trying to get this working since midnight last night! First Steam decided to die & then it wouldn't hook into Vorpx this morning BUT then an update dropped for Vorpx which made it work, massive thanks to Ralf at Vorpx who works tirelessly to get this stuff out for us all to enjoy! For a day one profile this is very impressive, I'll be keeping my eye on it over the next few weeks

  2. Look up and to the right, to aim at somebody who is in front, and lower down… it looks jarring but I guess when you're the one calibrated to the position it doesn't matter.

  3. I was playing cyberpunk on vortex till midnight last night. I don't know if you've done this yet but you can up the 3D intensity from 2.0% to 3.0% I will make it to where it doesn't feel like you're looking at a flat screen. If you haven't already done that I hope it works for you.

  4. Ah nice I've been meaning to try this myself. I was playing that free steam game "aircar" earlier and it made me wanna test this out really bad, I guess I'll have to know that I know it works! I can run the game on medium at a solid 60 fps so hopefully I should be good to use the rift s on the same settings. Apologies if you've already mentioned it but what computer are you using?

  5. Hey Beardo, I have been playing this flat. Great idea to try and get it to work.

Cyberpunk 2020 is a bit of a weird case, namely because its entirely in the 1st person and seems to be an ideal candidate for a full VR version without vorpx. Maybe the modding community might be able to help eventually as they have before, but the problem is probably optimization. I play on Ultra and the graphics are beautiful. Running those settings in VR make me wonder whether my computer may explode.

  6. Seriously being able to look around in that game! With all those amazing little details.. The immersion must be insane! Even with medium graphics settings.. I'm so jealous and I hope cdProjectRed optimizes the game for a full VR experience.

  7. I can’t believe anyone is actually able to play this right now. I mean, I know it’s been released now officially but just seems like it’s a game that has such high demand that no one can get a chance to play it yet or something!

  8. Hi, do you have a video with the complete process to make it work with worpx ? I got an oculus quest 1, and i'm using a shadow pc. So i got Virtual desktop to make it work without wire, I bought vorpx, but i only have a big screen with cyberpunk. thx
