PlayStation 5 vs Google Stadia – The Nerf Report Ep. 177
Source
Pc gaming allows me to use any controller I want as well but also as a married dude with time constraints this maybe a good deal
Great Video – thx
Stadia…. and i was astounding with the results with cyberpunk 2077 ! Wish they have more and more Games soon …
ordered a stadia and it’s arriving in a couple days can’t wait to try it.
I got stadia when it was released to the public and didn't get on it until they had worth playing games. This NEW type of game play is going to be my way of video gaming entertainment, simply for many reasons the consoles has become way too expensive and sometimes not available on lunch, then sometimes there is the possibility of hardware failure it your like me and don't get the warranty and if you do get the warranty you have to mail it in then wait to get it back which sucks, then on top of that memory for the system is NEVER enough, it's so easy to for an person to spend thousands of $ purchasing games and system and as you said also get the surprise update that can take minutes which sometimes can be in hassle. The Stadia is SUPER affordable, and I love the fact that I don't have to worry about any system failures, crazy load times, being able to access and continue my game play on any platform and I use ANY CONTROLLER and NOT putting my pocket in over kill. Also on Stadia you have access to the new games on the available launch dates on like some other systems which is huge. All Stadia needs to do now is have a better monthly subscription and I think it will dominates the gaming industry. Well that's my thoughts 😊
I am a Stadia Founder, but didn't do anything with it when I noticed the lack of games. With CP2077 bought on the ps4 I was forced to look elsewhere to play this game. I do not want to buy a console that costs almost €500 or buy and build a new (gaming) pc just to get outdated the day new games are coming out the next year. So it was Gforce Now or Stadia. And as I already had Stadia I went to the website, bought the game and BOOM… I could instantly play on my old PC. Also I noticed I never ended my free trail of the subscription.. So I could claim a bunch of games and it made me look around the store. Besides the no downloads and next gen graphics it also offers GREAT reduced prices and offers for the newest games when you have a subscription. So, my opinion is.. Why spend your €500 on a console and another €10 per month for online gaming when you can spend that money to buy Stadia empty.. Choice is pretty simple if you ask me! And YES, a great gaming PC is always better then anything else, but also a returning HUGE cost per couple of years. So keep that money that you save on not buying and building your ultimate PC (for 3 to 4 years) and use that huge amount of money on buying Stadia empty! Also.. use every screen you own (even phones), every controller you like (or mouse and keyboard) and never pay for newer consoles or pc again. I only see a win win situation here! Only thing is.. have perfect internet connection!
I have really been enjoying stadia. The ease of access and quick start up of games really helps with the time I have. With kids in the picture there is not a lot of room for gaming. Also it helped that there was some great sales at the moment to expand my game library! Can't recommend stadia enough.
Was let down by PS4 when I bought Cyberpunk and decided to try Stadia and thank god I did. I even got my controller and Chrome cast ultra free and £10 pound off the game.
Hey where’d you get that white stadia controller with yellow bottoms on the joysticks dude?????
I must say Stadia is worth it. It runs very smooth with no hiccups, etc. (I'm talking about my experience). Give it a try, it's free and the Pro subscription is only 10 bucks a month and you get free games each month plus very good deals on games.
The force of Stadia is that is going to make people like me, that don't play from a long time, to play again. Like you said with work, wife and children is hard to find some time for me to play and the idea to buy a console to take dust near a TV is sad. Now with Stadia I can play even with my smartphone while I'm in bed or when I'm doing lunch break at work with pc. I would never ever buy a PS5, I've no time to stay in front of my TV for hours but with stadia I can use every free moment of my day. I've played also when waiting in my car using 4G connection and it was awesome.
Think u hit the nail on the head dude I have had every Sony console since the original PlayStation (I actually still have them all ) and Sony is my go to I have a switch and an xbox 1s both hardly see any use but I got stadia founders edition to see what I was like and I have loved it ever since so between ps5 and stadia am splitting more down the middle that I ever though I would I play ps5 with friends and play stadia at work or traveling and its amazing
This is a REALLY bad comparison. The features you find on a ps5 with the controller, online, game library (it's not only exclusives, it's 140 stadia Vs 3113 PlayStation and that's only on PS4..), the list is vastly growing for PlayStation. don't get me started on the voice chat features. All the capabilities to use it as media center in your home. You have native image quality (yes this is just better than a stream). And you don't depend on a constant internet connection. Furthermore, updates are mostly done automatically when you have a console in stand-by. You can purchase games from your mobile and the download will begin.
Don't get me wrong I play a lot on stadia right now. But a console is a far better overall experience. Like not even close 🙂
Day one Playstation Plus Beta gamer here. I have enjoyed Stadia since it released. I got 3 games to keep during my PRO trial. I was happy to see I can still play my games without Pro.
Not having to buy hardware and no downloading is more next-gen then either of the ps5 or series x
Bro whatttt??????? You telling me, Nintendo exclusives are better than PlayStation???? Nearly every single game on Nintendo is an exclusive. I’m no way a fan boy of Nintendo but Mario, Link, smash bros, metro, Mario kart and- well that’s all I know but someone who actually plays Nintendo can list off more.
Good video. I would argue that Playstation's exclusives can be matched by Nintendo. Horizon, TLOU2, God of War are all fantastic but Nintendo have Mario, Zelda, Smash.
Lmao u actually think Stadia stands a chance 😂😂 ur stupid asf I know Google paying you to say they good
I was really skeptical at first but Stadia truly surprised me with how smooth it runs. Can’t wait for more games to be available.
I do like Stadia and it is fast to play, but you cannot play in seconds, all games have a menu that you have to surf, before you play the game. Yes, Stadia is now worth the money.
In south Africa, still not available! Don't know why… We have all the consoles. Anybody know if I can play this in South Africa somehow?
Very happy with stadia. GFX is great on games, no noticeable input delay with a stable connection. The Game Library is lacking but the cyberpunk bundle was so good it was worth the money even if you only play cyberpunk on it. So once the Library grows it’s great.
Surprised by Stadia! I think it is the future, no more consoles, just one simple plug in device and your away! No downloads, no worries about upgrades or storage space, so far through ethernet very few problems.
Yes the big games are still not quite there but there slowly coming.
You can't use the ps5 controller with stadia…. I wish 😪
Playstation have exclusives yes, but have a fraction compared to Nintendo honestly.
Stadia is much better but not better than the Atari 2600. Atari 2600 is the most powerful console out there on the market. 20 teraflops, 240 frames per second.
2021 is looking very bright for stadia! It’s truly the future of gaming 🔥 wait till they add more games to their library 📚
That's too funny, my wife and I's first date was playing RE:5 co-op on PS3 in 2008. Between us we've owned every Sony console released, and now we're so codependent that the time before we met each other's bled together enough I could pass a polygraph saying I've had every PlayStation product.
So sweet! Sold your PSP to take your wife to prom <3
Been using stadia for over 6 months and it's fucking brilliant get the odd lag every now and again but your streaming what you expect I sold my PS4 and got that and love it controllers are awesome the thing about the Google assistant isn't in place yet you can only ask the weather
I'm excited for Xbox to release Xcloud for the TV. Xcloud with game pass lineup is gonna be elite.
Im selling my ps5 to get stadianow, ho waitttt nooo demon soul,no God of war ,no last of us , no horizon , no Spiderman, and more and more…. The only reason im only with Playstation is for exclusive. So i dont want to buy game on multi Platform . But i tested stadia and if one day all the game exclusive run on stadia ( i know its impossible ) its Stadia all the way.
Stadia is dope, rocking 200 mbps, realistically around 100 give or take over WiFi where my devices are.
But my critique is different. I use Nintendo for exclusives and kept an Xbox around for those big third party games. Since I’m not as concerned about exclusives on the bigger “console,” I would rather stadia get those big third party games that I can’t run on switch.
To be competitive, it needs the next or current gta, cod needs to launch on it same day (especially with how big those games are getting), all of the big sports games (even though I don’t play them) etc. it needs full onboard support from EA and Activision, I saw what that lack of support did to Nintendo in their image. Ubisoft seems to be on board. Capcom is taking its time but expressed support. Square is all in. Rockstar has red dead on there which is their most recent release.
It’s getting better, especially in comparison to a year ago. It has more games than the PS4 and Xbox one had at this time, but it lacks some of the heavy hitters.
If it gets that on lock, provides the same third party access as the other big boys, plus added conveniences, I think it will be a true heavy hitter.
But stadia itself is very impressive. Maybe it’s just my internet, but there’s games docked on switch that have worse input lag than stadia (looking at you, wolfenstein 2)
Gaming is addiction for me so i was to be a little restrictive in playing them.. so i will buy a Ps5.. well if games are be played anywhere i will waste my time whenever i get an opportunity to play them… so it's good a console is hooked to the tv and you can spend time with family and friends and after day's of hard work can play on tv at night for an hour or two… also big screen gaming is so relaxing and can focus on work at the right time.. i don't want a service i can play anywhere anytime
I’ve just tried Stadia and love the concept. Tried Immortals demo and it ran as smooth as silk. But Destiny 2 had really bad stuttering/frame drops – so much so it is unplayable
If Stadia keeps this up and its specs are always being updated I'm honestly switching over to Stadia, and ill no longer bother with consoles.. Even my Pc if becomes just as good.
Pc and ps5 owner here but I gotta say stadia is awesome,I have a chromecast in every room and it's so handy when the Mrs kicks you out if the living room
I am on team stadia
The comments here are too one sided. With anything you care about you make time be it games music cars Wtv. The excuse of life means the hobby is not really your passion. It’s my 2 cents. I not saying Stadia is not good. Just the sales pitch to me is not strong enough to make me buy in to it.
As a Sony and Google fanboy. I enjoyed this video. I will say I have had a great experience with stadia, and do not own the ps5 yet. Unfortunately my thought is I love stadia's concept. Being able to play anywhere any game. Minimalistic life. Maybe get a high end Chromebook cause their battery life is great, no need for my fancy desktop tower. But at the end of the day the library is a bit of an issue to me. I LOVED Gylt, and recommend everyone play it, as someone whose not a fan of horror the story was great and it's more baby horror so it's really not that scary. But outside of that and the fact they closed their game creation studio. I worry their will be no exclusives worth playing. And it seems their games are more expensive than in other places example EA's monopoly shows its on sale from 50 dollars to 13 with stadia pro amazing
But on EA's website it's on sale for $6…
If you don't have a computer to play these games then yes I see the reason. But if your comparing it to the ps5, you have all these exclusives that to play you must own the ps5, and then just buy the 3rd party games there for cheaper. It hurts to say because I think stadia runs super smooth, even from my phone on data.
Also it's more expensive than I thought. Controller and Chromecast ultra must be bought if you want the fun freedom of playing it wherever otherwise it's just from you phone or computer. That's $160 dollars for those. For a console that is free, again you don't need them, but if your going to be tethered to just your computer I think I'd rather the console with the amazing exclusives.
Not to mention Sony has a way to play games from PS4 (I assume and hope this feature is with the ps5 as well) to play your system remotely from your phone, computer or vita. From anywhere around the world just like stadia. I believe there is a bit more latency. But if I were to pick one. It's going to be Sony. I hope Google does something to change my mind but I think at this point I'm done with stadia.
Just imaging having an Adaptive triggers over stadia
First off I just started playing games on stadia about 2 months ago and it's great. At this time I don't have a ps5 but I'll be getting one when I can find it, but I do have a ps4. I got cyberpunk 2077 on ps4 and I got sick and tired of waiting for them to fix it so I got it on Stadia also, and everything about the stadia port is better, it's almost like it's not even the same game.
If spider man went to stadia I'd be happy
I absolutely love stadia! Only wish I had upgraded my TV earlier because my old one created lag. My new Samsung Q95 gives stadia the speed it deserves.
Just get a pc
Not just a pro upgrade for free, stadia is already free itself. I got a next gen console for free!!!! I use my old pc( without a graphic card) with a hdmi to my tv and my ps4 controller. And i was able to play cyberpunk 2077 on release in 60fps and it work perfectly and instantly. My orginal plan was to buy a ps5 but even months later i cant find one in the stores. Now i dont even want it anymore. im not paying 500 dollars for haptic feedback most developers wont even use in their games or for 2 exclusives i can also get on my ps4
I’m hyped for that super massive google stadia exclusive
