Yesterday Sony announced a partnership with Discord to bring the service to PlayStation and work to bridge the gap between their platform and mobile. In a series of newly revealed documents from Epic Games, it looks like there were plans for a Metroid Fortnite crossover that could still be in the works.

Who in their right mind would deny Fortnite's impact on a miniscule franchise like Metroid? Obviously you grow IP's by leveraging public consciousness; the more people who are even slightly aware of Metroid, the better. If one person during a spontaneous moment of curiosity makes a quick Google search, that could form a burgeoning interest which they could then share with others to massive multiplicative effect.
Suddenly, the Fortnite masses are having conversations about Metroid, of all things, and livestreamers are prompting questions from their chatrooms while they play with the Samus skin. It's the best goddamn marketing Nintendo could ask for.
“And, maybe a Castlevania Slot Machine for good measure…” I almost unsubbed. This cut me deep. 😧

I don’t agree on whoring out Samus Aran to Fortnite just so the Metroid series can get more exposure. She’s already seen as just “That sexy character from smash” by most people, adding her into Fortnite would just make her into a complete joke.

If Sony wants to grab some of the mobile game mindshare, they need to partner with Bluestacks to get their engine on PS5.
I think if they include a style for the samus skin where she is in her blue jumpsuit that she wears while inside her armour it will get a lot of attention too. If it is happening.

Speaking on Prime 4! I believe it will be the revival of Metroid from Other m's mishap and that it may actually be the first 3D Metroid game for the switch. I also believe it will be sub-canonical to the trilogy like Hunters, so that new fans can pick it up with no confusion about the story, kind-a like Breath of The Wild. That way the "3D Metroid" experience is from a 2022-2024 game, and not the 14+ year old Trilogy AKA, my best games of all time!!!! (Me: Randomizes and hd's the heck out of Trilogy on dolphin) We may always ask Nintendo, Why no trilogy!? This is my best guess… Hell, I mean Sylux doesn't have much story behind him like lol his wiki page is way shorter compared to Dark Samus/Metroid Prime Combined, he can be recapped easily in Prime 4 if that's how they continue things…

I think we should see what that new Mario movie turns out to be. The original Mario Bros. movie is truly terrible. So I want to see the new one before Nintendo even thinks about doing other games in movie form. Lol
FPS boost is fantastic! Though, some of the games that were out for the OG XB1 vcr model, like Dragon Age Inquisition still render at around 900p. They may feel better at 60fps, but still look terrible. If only they can find some way to also inject something to force higher render res on these games like with Kaldaen's SpecialK mod, or the old GeDoSaTo Dark Souls mod on PC.
Samus won't be in Fortnite because Nintendo doesn't understand good marketing. Remember, just a few years ago they were striking youtubers left and right for uploading reviews and let's plays, and then their "solution" was to make that horrible partner program. All because they were too stupid to recognize free advertising when they saw it.
Would say they need to get a Metroid game out this year or Nintendo will sorta kill their own franshise. Feels like they always release new Metroid games way too late in their console's lifetime.
