Ngl kinda feels like anything that's not a slayer or assassin is a "dying class"
also i think is important to consider that the poke champs, are the most abused champs for scripters. And is hard to diferinciate a great player from a scripter. I think league will desing more poke champions, when they develop better tools to identify scripters.

I stand by that the 3 artillery mages do far to much damage from far to much range for such a low cost

What rank is this…? I get eyesore from watching the background fotage, at 3:13 rakan dives under twr with no follow up, sett runs in 1v3 after getting half his health removed and tristana jumps in like a sucidal jordell…. jesus christ… XD
mobility creep ,voli used to have one movement speed charge and a flip with a aoe slow, now he has ramping movement speed, with a stun (arguably much stronger cc), a ranged aoe slow which gives him a shield and his ult which makes him hella tanky, gives him a long range dash, shuts down towers and cc's you on impact not to mention his old ult is up all the time on his passive.
Poke varus and ziggs are literally top of the high elo meta right now

"They're never really able to nuke you from 100 to 0, no matter how strong they become." I'm sorry, but Vel'koz can def' do this, he is much more akin to lux on that front, once he pops his passive. Ziggs have also been getting insanely strong here as of late, so I kinda disagree with the last statement. That said, I do wish to see more artillery-poke champions 🙂
0:40 lmao yes it would be. It isnt good game design to allow million dashes from yone, irealia etc where flash (basically a little fart mobility spell) is 4 minute cooldown when champions have dashes on 3 seconds cooldowns.

Poke doesn't matter as long as you manage to close the gap in half a second
I disagree, so many poke champions have been extremely OP in many different seasons. Even considered the best in their lane. It’s not a rare occurrence either.
Two Huge things I think you forgot to mention is:
1. How Baron works now vs in the early days. Minions take very little damage from magic with baron buff. Back in the day, you could clear them anyway, but now you can't.
2. Is rift herald. You can't poke it away… There's nothing you can do to stop it, and you can't exactly walk up to it and auto it from behind.

Im surprised that seraphine is not considered a poke champion because when there is a team fight and i have full shards along with my team i can really poke from a safe distance and not to metion almost all of her skills have decent range and ult can have longer range than usual
You should have mentioned rift herald. It is essential to keep your mid turret as long as possible for å champion like xerath. Poke mages are usually have pretty good waveclear. Which helps them to defend their turrets. But an early rift herald mid and an enemy jungler who is playing something like an udyr, numu or rammus can ruin your whole game as a xerath.

As a Xerath mid OTP i'll admit you are playing the game completely differently, it's less about poke pre 2 items and more about limiting deaths and gaining any gold advantage possible. The end goal should be less to poke with "moderate damage" and more to decimate ADC's and squishies. As for ANYBODY outside of immobile squishies (Tanks, mobility champs or champs with invisibility or very heavy sustain) you are pretty much completely useless and need to play around sacrificing to survive. But the hidden and unspoken game mechanic that you're then forced to adopt is both a blessing and a curse… Early game gank priority. If you survive ganks then you're taking valuable time away from junglers and supports/roaming top's which as a result reduces the enemy team's early game pressure, at the cost of having a massive "X" on your back and the promise that if you aren't able to protect said "X" that not only will you be almost useless mid game but that the enemy team will mine you on repeat as their own personal gold buff camp. Mastering this playstyle takes TIME and is so vastly different to the meta gameplay that they appear weak (and dependant on matchup that just may be the case [you need to dodge these games]), however utilizing this playstyle to its full potential can hide many hidden rewards within its "HARD MODE" early game, and thus also teaches you a lot about the game in and of itself. …. But also FUCK BEING 1 SHOT BY EVERY NEW CHAMP WITH ZERO OUTPLAY POTENTIAL OUTSIDE OF 300 SECOND COOLDOWN MINI DASH.
nah, poke champions are fun, hell, I used to have xerath deal as much damage as lux, because a varus would attack me in a bus, I would panic and use all my abilities on that varus and instakill him
Xerath is fun until the 0 and 6 full tank-build garen one shots you through your flash cause he brought ghost and has 75% tenacity.
