Yet more Sims 5 news comes.. with new information about the game’s engine, user interface, and a possible timeline for when we could look for Sims 5 to be announced or a real Sims 5 trailer. This follows Sims 5 news and speculation about CAS, subscription services, and also suggests that future Sims projects will very much be cross and Multiplatform.

Sims 5 is deep into its development, according to Sims Community news. I’ll give you the details about Sims 5 speculation about using an Unreal Unity engine, new Sims career postings, and all the news about the launch of a potential Sims 5. I’ll also give you my honest opinion about what needs to happen for Sims 4/ what I want to see in 2021 before Sims 5 is announced.
All of this comes while Sims 4 has a promising new stuff pack, Paranormal Stuff, but is still broken, full of glitches, in need of a big Sims 4 update, and has broken Sims 4 skin tones. Sims 4 may still need more work, but it is unclear if wishlist items like generations, werewolves, farming, hotels, high schools, and bands/ music will come or not.
Stay tuned to Simmer Erin for Sims 4 and 5 news, info and speculation. I also do dlc ranked, wishlists, and occasionally let you know about the best Sims 4 mods/ cc. Plus, I cover Paralives news and updates, as well as Paralives interviews.

This isn't super carefully edited, so forgive a little stumbling ha. What do you think about all of this "news"?
i´m kind of tired of hearing of "sims 5" XD nothing is 100% and some ppl already go really mad.. like why? its not worth the stress yet. it still gonna take a long time till we even gonan see the real name of the project
I am extremely concerned about this “cross platform” idea, especially about the idea of mobile and tablets… how could a fully fleshed out SIMS game fit on a mobile or tablet???? But if it’s onlineeeee… I’m very worried. But at least it’s a few years off I suppose.
I prefer the ui we have now, this one looks a bit confusing
I hope we don't get another boring white UI. I certainly liked the original Sims 4 UI because it fit in with the history of the Sims UIs, which were always blue and typically incorporated gradients.
Oh boy those sims 5 videos are really my favorite ! Even if i'm scare for the game i'm also excited for it cause i'm really not into sims 4 anymore
I'm more excited for paralives at this point. My expectations cannot be any lower for the sims 5 so I'm not gonna hold my breath
I don't think we will see a trailer until 2022. The sims 4 first trailer by EA was the create a sim trailer which came out on May 14th 2014, later the Sims 4 released September 2nd 2014. So if the sims 5 trailer drops in 2022? a release might not happen until 2023… 2023 is year I am looking at for the sims 5 to drop. What you read tells me the sims 5 is still a rough draft in brainstorming / share ideas and creation phase. I don't think Maxis has even landed on a foundation or direction they're wanting to fully go with the sims 5 just yet.
I just hope EA/Maxis don't keep quiet that long. They kept so quiet with the sims 4 not giving us anything until 4 months until the game released! They should want to get simmers feedback early on atleast a year or so before final version releases. I mean its what I would do if I was over the game, mold it on basis of consumer feedback, other wise you're just winging it.
So Due to TS5 releasing in 2023, Does this mean TS4 will end in 2022 or 2023?
I can honestly say, based on the let down that is Sims 4…I don't have high Hope's for Sims 5. It's been six years so to hear they are developing Sims 5, not surprising. If it is subscription based, I will not be playing. Ever since Sims 4's start EA/Maxis has been bleeding money from us Simmers. Charging us for separate packs that SHOULD be combined into one pack. For example: Seasons and SNOWY Escape should have been in one pack. Another example: Vampires, Realm of Magic and now Paranormal Stuff also should have been one pack. Cats and Dogs and My First Pet should have been one pack. Honestly, I am disgusted with what Sims has become. I'm ready for Paralives.
Anyone got a pulse on if Little Lives game coming out on steam estimated for February is worth anything?
NO!! Let’s just fix the sims 4 first!!
i am actually excited for the sims 5!
Don't want Sims 5 that has a subscription
If it is Sims 5 I'm curious to know what they will have that's different and an improvement from other versions. Sims 1 started it all, Sims 2 added aging, Sims 3 added the ability to visit other Sim's homes, and Sims 4 added emotions. It would have to be something that can not be patched into Sims 4.
When well there be a drivable cars on the sims 4
i wont pay its not worth it as they owe us years of incomplete sims 4 content so they owe dedicated simmers
Sims 5 is going to be a fun game. Honestly, I would love to see the Sims 5 as a continue of the Sims 2 and Sims 3.
I'm interested in the new Sims game info, Cuz I'm always down for a New Game. =O
They are most definitely taking a lot of stuff away for online because from the listings that’s they’re main focus :/ the sims 4 might actually be my last sims game
Someone commented in another couple videos ago, I'm sorry I can't remember who, that maybe this is sims online 2.0. the more these job descriptions talk about the across all platforms the more I am starting to wonder if that might be the case. That game would be something that could theoretically played on console, pc, access from phone, tablet where sims 5 i can't imagine that would be the case. Maybe this is another shot at Sims Online. Who knows.
I'm not a UI artist, the main thing I get is that they expect a lot of change, iterative development in which game are re-work throughout development is typical of modern game development and UX would mean expanding to "user experience." Basically, they have no plan, you would design a prototype and it would evolve, possibly into something else entirely — the rest sounds like business-speak to support that.
I think it's high time to either the franchise and Maxis take a hiatus or to EA give the development rights to a more competent studio like Criterion Games along with DICE and make a Full Reboot of the series.
I don't mind with subscription services AS LONG as they are OPTIONAL and have only an YEARLY fee instead of monthly fee.
About the engine, most likely it'll use Frostbite, but giving Criterion's Chameleon/Renderware a New Upgrade would work better, or just use an Custom Unreal Engine.
And seriously, if TS5 is getting an Mobile/Tablet version, JUST LET US PLAY WITH PHYSICAL GAMEPADS!
However, something tells me we're gonna have another downgraded experience, albeit worse than TS4.
Also, The Sims 3 Remastered would be a great option for 2022.
