The new Drakes effects on the map are great for junglers, but the “Highlighted Objective” thing may just make the game worse since it forces teams behind to go all-in on certain objectives the other team knows about to catch up, and that’ll likely just set up Aces for the other team and further accelerate their lead…

  2. I mean the changes are thematically nice ragrding arcane, but come on, we couldnt gibe cloud drake ability haste on base abilities because it would be too strong? Well guess this designphilosophy is out the window

  3. Ah yes i cannot wait to walk in towards the chemtech fog just to out of nowhere have a axe the size of my champion be lodged into my skull dealing over 1800+ damage by the sion hiding in it

  4. The players: Characters have overloaded kits and movement speed and stealth have taken over the game making a lot of champs completely useless!

    Riot: you're wrong! we are ignoring you and adding new stealth dragon!

  5. Nice now it's even more league of bounties, it wasn't already stupid af… 🙂
    Last game for exemple, we had a 4v5 game, and we still had, all of us, 300g bounties on us. Can't play risky or we get punished with a comeback, can't take the golds of the map (farm top in that case) cause we would be ahead with bigger shutdown. Yes, a fair game where it's fair to have an handicap when you already play 4v5

  7. I'm going to say that there wasn't that much innovation here. There are new things, but in a familiar sense and it won't really add as much as the last preseason.
    All they did was add some new items (another preseason was an item overhaul), added some new runes (another preseason did a rune overhaul) and add two drakes (another season added four drakes and an elder drake).

    I get that I'm going to get wringed by the fan base here, but I'm somewhat disappointed.

    Before people go on a tangent and say "oh well it would make things too hard to get into", they could take things out and put something new in. Entirely new, that gives returning players something to think about and newer players something new to explore until they get their footing.
    If anything this is worse for newer players, now the drakes have even more rng, forcing you to adapt and increasing the chance that the game is decided in champion select as some of the buffs may synergize really well with certain champs that creates these niche situations where pure rng steals the game from you.
    More importantly, will the hextech and chemtech drakes spawn each game? If not you will have games where the new drakes don't even appear and it disappoints you.
    The portals seems broken, another case of if your jungler is refusing to group, your fate is now utterly sealed.

    Not a fan. I could think of much better more founded mechanics in a heartbeat.
