PS2 Games That Never Left Japan: Any action game featuring giant robots that's based on an Anime. Macross, Gundam, etc.
Hungry Ghosts – How playable is it if you don't read Japanese?
Great list. I played both tales of destiny 2 and Tales of rebirth (probably one of my if not my favorite tales of games) completely in Japanese as they sadly never left Japan too. Those were the days! Ps2 was definitely the best console for RPG lovers
As sad as it is to say, y’all should know that the PS2 is región locked. Just keep that in mind if you are interested in any of these games
Wait…. Where's the TOD DC Patch?? I thought Absolute Zero cancelled the project??🤔
Front Mission 5 graphics are omg 😯
Jesus! That hungry ghosts looks like my cup of tea
It was always funny to me that games that never left japan(some of them) have english in them. Why would they use eng and not thier own language.
I actually watched a couple of seasons of Garo. Not a bad show to honest. Kind of a mix of Superhero and horror genres. There were some other good tokusatsu games on PS2. there was a Kamen Rider one that was like Resident Evil meets the bouncer. That Front Mission game looks all in English. Is there a translation patch or was the game in English to begin with??
No Berwick Saga!!!???
Japan is a good place to live in like lol
Who's the girl in the thumb nail?
Garo is a really fun game and it’s quite rare
One game I liked on the PS2 that's Japanese only was Initial D Special Stage. I was a big fan of the Initial D Arcade Stage games. There was also Initial D Extreme Stage on the PS3 which I didn't like as much as Special Stage. It has a story mode too that's based on the main story. And it had voice acting with the voice actors from the Initial D anime series.
Wait when did Tales of Destiny get an English translation? Is it finished?
Tales of rebirth still no english version too
Namco X Capcom! YEAH BOI!!!
That intro is freaking amazing, especially Ryu's part. ☝️

I'am sure i forgot a lot, Ps2 has a insane library for Japan only games
Tokyo Bus Guide, Gantz game, Cowboy Bebop game, Berserk Millenium Falcon, Vampire Panic, this following i'm not very sure they got outside Japan but i think not:
Standard Daisenryaku
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generations
Monster Hunter 1, 2
Rogue Hearts Dungeon
Mystic Nights
Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Job System
The PS2 has many Tokusatsu(japanese super heroes) games in it's library, although most of are japan only and kinda generic. But a few them are worth to play such as Ultraman FE3 and Kamen Rider Seigi no Keifu(it's a Kamen Rider game with resident evil-like gameplay.
Very interesting. Thanks for showing!
