A US lawfirm has filed a class action lawsuit against Sony, alleging that the PS5 DualSense controller is defective due to drift, and that Sony was aware of the problem without disclosing it. The suit calls Sony’s conduct, “fraudulent, deceptive, unlawful, and unfair”.

To IGN’s knowledge, this is the first such suit filed against Sony regarding PlayStation 5 controller drift – it may well not be the last.

  1. That sounds a bit harsh I mean because all controller thumbsticks are bound to not work like they did when new due to use. I guess it's all about how long a reasonable time is for them to fail, I'd think about 2 years would be acceptable.

  2. It's about damm time, this and the charger ports getting loose should of been fixed before a new console was released. The fact it still exists is just to get more money and they deserve a lawsuit and more

  3. After all the company didn't do too combat scalping, I'm not at all interested in a PS5 any more. Sony's anti-consumer practice over the years have pushed me away from them and I am fine with it.

  4. So what's the law suit gonna do? Are they gonna be forced to make longer lasting controls? My camera stick is drifting which is weird because the left stick is used for for movement and pressing it down to sprint yet it works fine. Also you look like Jaskier from The Witcher series
