Customizing the PS5 has been really interesting to gamers with the possibilities of special edition shells or faceplates being a big talking point after Sony shut down the last attempt by a website. Now it looks like dbrand is going to be producing their own faceplates for the PS5 even daring Sony to sue them if they don’t like it. Cyberpunk 2077 has been in news constantly since it released for how poor the launch has been and now lawsuits are starting to pop up with the first lawsuit now being officially filed.

Lets talk about it.
Its disappointing that Sony is backing down from Japan as a major focus. Honestly, games like God of War and Horizon are cool, but I’ve always enjoyed what the Sony’s Japanese devs made more. As a PS1/2 kid those Japanese devs were responsible for some bangers, and I kinda miss the PS1/2 era more.

Was Sony not pushing face plates for the PS4 but then made a few and never mentioned it again? I'm not convinced they will make face plates
Imagine if Apple or Samsung start to sue companies that sells protective cases for their products. That doesn't make sense and still Sony is trying to do that with the PS5.
They can make their official faceplate but they can't control other companies for making a piece of plastic that fits on their console. Of course they can't use any logos but it's amazing how Sony didn't foreshadow that while they were developing the design.
Spoiler alert, the big Dbrand secret is that they removed the PS logo and the textures with the button symbols. Dimensions are slightly different from the original one, that’s why they’re confident.
Dbrand is throwing some serious shade.
The custom PS5 faceplates story will be interesting. If the commercial emulator from the 90s, BLEEM, is any indication, it can be ruled in court that it's perfectly legal to produce and sell. But constant litigation from Sony forced the company to go out of business. I wonder if it will also happen here.

Cyberpunk punk deserve what they got the game is not even better than GTA 3 or any of the Grand theft auto titles. Look at the activitys that can be done side-by-side compared to any gta game and you’ll see what I mean.
i got a new 2ds for christmas (to repalce my aging launch 3ds) and the eshop for that was even down

No point of fixing Nintendo servers. You will get through eventually and still buy.
Ugh Japanese games ARE the appeal of Playstation to me. Without the great Japanese exclusives I would buy XBox instead.

I don’t wanna brag, but I own every console including both current gen and a super high end PC, so I can’t sympathise with people who can’t obtain a PS5 or had to play Cyberpunk on a PS4. My professor said I lack empathy for lower life forms, but I just can’t understand this word “empathy”.

Dbrand is always a bit "special" with their advertising. Wondering why you are so surprised! You should subscribe to their mailing list and actually read the mails they send you. Their PR and Social Media department sure has a TON of fun writing these.

the last time the ps5 was available where i live was on december 3rd (a very small wave)… since then its dead silent.
and if i dont have the console, i wont buy the games. also, i rather wait for the ps5 version of the games, then buying the ps4 version :/
