Today on the Daily Fix, Denuvo’s anti-cheat software has landed on PS5. The contentious software from Irdeto, usually used on PC games, will now be available for games hitting the PlayStation 5, offering a way for developers to “protect their investment” and filter out would-be cheaters. Overwatch players on Xbox Series S and X will now enjoy a few upgrades, as Blizzard has quietly rolled out a few graphical improvements to the hero shooter. Players can switch between different graphics modes, offering either higher frame rates or resolution, taking advantage of the horsepower Microsoft’s latest consoles bring to the table. 3. Maybe Sony should work on anti scalper software, rather than irrelevant crap like this right now. Denuvo did nothing but affect the performance of games on PC ffs 🤦🏽‍♂️.

  4. Oh yes, because that's definitely what a closed ecosystem like PS5 needs, a invasive DRM that's been cracked to hell and back on PC and is proven to negatively effect the performance on any game that uses it. A DRM that doesn't actually prevent cheaters as well as publishers and developers seem to think it does.

    Impeccable decision there, Jimbo.
