I wouldn't be surprised if ps5 owners hate Sony, I like the product and so do others, thats why people buy it but most owners dislike Sony and Microsoft because there just greedy corporations and we have no reason to like either but we can like there products

If anything I would say PS5 has a much greater bias for it within media. It is most definitely not the underdog here. As for DF, fanboys of either console always take any news where one wins over the other as bias, or the worst one ‘Sony or Microsoft is paying them off’. Like come on. If anything it seems like whenever the Series X underperforms and PS5 takes a win, DF goes out of it’s way to make sure to be like ‘yah but does it really matter’ or ‘it’s not noticable at all’. I really don’t think there is any bias at all though on DF. They seem fairly even across the board. Giving ‘wins’ to Sony when it comes out on top and Microsoft when it does. Also, most DF vids are about shit the average player would never notice unless they had the equipment they do and were looking, or someone told them. DF has just become ridiculous fanboy arguments and conspiracy theories in the comments most of the time. It’s funny to watch people act like this but also kind of sad at the same time.

Even the dev who made control said Microsoft was late with tools and Sony went with the same api. It’s an ign interview check it out.

The way I see it is it's a last gen game and that's Xbox's field. It's been said it's more work to enhance last gen games for the PS5 so we can't expect devs to go out of their way for every game.
I love my PS5, but when it comes to this stuff, it's Xbox's win.

So……. let me see if we are all understanding this correctly…… The MORE powerful console is starting to actually do what EVERYONE said it would from the very beginning and perform better than the LESS powerful console (which, erm, kinda' makes sense)….. and Digital Foundry are the bad guys because they are reporting this?
So, I guess to truly be "impartial" Digital Foundry should be reporting that the weaker PS5 hardware is outperforming the more powerful Series X on EVERY game REGARDLESS of what reality offers up?

Actually almost every game performs better on the series x after patches are done. Just go to digital foundry and watch comparisons after the games get their first patch.
Couldn't say it better that there will be games in favor of the xbox sx and there will be games in favor of playstation 5 but once Sony's AAA titles come out, these joggernauts will overshadow and eclipse what xbox was meant to be from the start.
The higher resolution of the Series X compared to the PS5 shows that their smart delivery was more than just a catch phrase. Xbox clearly has done a much better job in ensuring the last gen games performs better on the Series X. While the Series X in theory is more powerful than the PS5. It is by no means that much more powerful to cause the big disparity in resolution between the PS and Series X as can be seen in Marvel Avengers. It must be noted that it is hard to say what these consoles are truly capable of for true next gen. The only thing that is for sure is the gap in power is not much at all. They are both have their strengths and weaknesses and at the end of the day it should be the games that draws gamers to a particular platform.
CGR …I've already covered this. You can predict how each console will perform by the actual design choices. 2 extra tflops is for extra processing power. That means more pixels rendered from the data inside RAM, so XBSX ports will have slightly higher resolution. PS5 concentrates more on data throughput, rapidly transfering 2x SSD assets to RAM to draw the next frame. As a result PS5 can have more objects on screen, much faster and this allows the GPU to render frames faster, because it's not waiting for game assets required by the next frame. This is why XBSX ports are higher res, but have more LOD pop-in, lower frame rate with stutter and screen tear. Entirely as expected.
People need to go look up computers and memory and the importance of the components the x box even on paper is technically less powerful bigger gpu but less powerful the ps5 can push over twice the work through the cpu than the xbox people ask where is that SSD and I would say why do you think that "crappy" gpu is keeping up w that God gpu of the xbox yes it's possible for a higher resolution on the xbox but resolution means dick when you have high quality assets which the ps5 can do more of the throughput especially the way sony did it is very important plus both machines have extra hardware to assist the cpu but again the ps5 took a little more off of it's cpu than xbox I don't hate xbox I love xbox but credit should be given where it's due and xbox has been getting credit it hasn't earned yet because yes they velocity that we still have to experience and they have more hardware for AI upscaling which is rumored but pretty sure is true and I don't want anyone to take my word for just look up the importance of ram and the cpu and anyone who thinks that those ssds in both machines aren't more like ram then ok sorry for you. And remember that is not bundling in kraken compression or anything and the ps is still TWICE as fast w higher clocks than the xbox why nobody is saying anything about this I don't know back last year when it was danced around xbox fans wanted to see games then we saw those and then the 12tflops bull started and how that was going to eat the ps5. I can't wait til true next gen games are made the detail that can be done on both machines is going to blow our minds. Love playstation love xbox I don't see why the fighting over has to continue xbox has fumbled here lately but the games are coming. Ps and xbox are working more together now then they ever have so as fans we should get along better
Crap, I watched the comparison and felt it was fair based on what was shown. Perhaps some of the image issues can be corrected with a patch. That being said, I think this is more a question for the developers than DF. If something was going on with checker boarding then perhaps going native on the PS5 version as well would have been preferred even at a lower resolution.
DF have been biased towards MS ever since they started getting exclusive access to new Xbox gear. That's valuable exclusive content for the channel, so any time the can sing the praises of an Xbox port they will do, even if it means ignoring good stuff on the PS5 port for maximum impact. Every time a PS port underperforms, it's deemed to be a hardware limitation. Every time an Xbox port underperforms, it's deemed to be a bug in the software or incomplete tools. 90% of issues are due to software struggling on the host hardware. It's pathetic.
