The PlayStation 5 launched last November, but months later, it’s still hard to snag one, especially in Japan. Early today, the Yodobashi Camera electrics megastore in Akihabara, one of the biggest in the country, sold a huge shipment of PS5. All hell broke loose.
People began shoving and pushing, descending on a Yodobashi clerk who had a stack of an estimated 300 numbered tickets to purchase the PS5.

The Japanese are not like people here in the US. What they consider "chaos" is having WAY too many civilized people in a mom-and-pop shop. Here in the US, we'd have a Black Friday-type scenario. (i.e. pushing, shoving, trampling, mass hysteria, etc.)
I’m tired of ps5 restock news. It’s just a console with VERY FEW next gen games to play on it anyway. Most companies are pushing the release dates back because enough people are not playing it. Soon this year it will be easy to get one and I can’t wait. Not so I can buy one but so I can finally stop seeing restock news trending.

Sony and game retailers are 100% the cause of all this chaos and it is all 100% avoidable all they have to do is allow people to place an order in store or online with no limits then Sony will know how many units they need to produce and customers will have some ideas on how long they will need to wait

I agree, I believe Sony should star working on some serious new legal rules so scalpers or other people don't make impossible to get a ps5 taking advantage of the situation, I was hoping I could get a PS5 two month later after it's release around February, but seeing the way things are heading now maybe I can get one by the end of April, is just ridiculous how hard to get a PS5 has become.

I got my PS5 back in November, at the time when I preordered it, I just clicked on the button to buy it and didn’t see what all the fuss was about. Then about an hour later or less it was sold out everywhere. But at the time when I bought mine it was just like buying any normal product no fuss or anything. Crazy world we live in

Ya know if Sony would just hold off for a few months. Build a stock. Then make an announcement when they will do a second round of pre orders which are limited to one per person and can only be bought in stores then maybe people wouldn't flip out like this but instead we get radio silence and a slap in the face essentially
